Went to see the White-throated dipper this morning! just past 8am he was as close as 1m from me singing and getting in the water (i assume for food), in the dam where you saw it today there were almost 50 very loud Oystercatchers and... a beautiful male Falcated duck!

Wow very nice! It was on my agenda to for today, but sadly the Gyrfalcon didn't co-operate.

Great video as always! That pipit was beautiful! Also, I really liked the Fallow Deer as it looks very different from the deer we have here!

Mooie beelden van een paar `vreemde` vogels, soms erg moeilijk te onderscheiden van de `gewone`, maar je hebt ze op beeld.👍👍

Pipits are so hard to identify. You need much expierence to identify them on purpose. Tje sibirisn one was awesome. What a find🎉. Greets Stefan

Is it common to see ringed Water Pipits? The one with the Buff-bellied had colour rings 😁 Great video!

The ringed Water Pipit actually led to the discovery of the Mega Rare Siberian Buff-bellied Pipit. The finder of the Buff-bellied Pipit (Cornelis Fokker) study's Water Pipits in that area. He rings them and then searches for them in the field to see where they forage. While checking for ring he found this bird. And I off course informed him when I saw this ringed bird.

Hi we visited The Nederlands at the start of July on a weekend visit on Sunday the 6th we visited a harbour in a town called volendan ( might be spelt wrong sorry ) during our visit we was sat on a bench eating fries when this bird landed in front of us, it looked like a seagull but it had a coloured head, im just wondering if you have seen this bird or could it have been a visitor, sadly I regret not taking a photograph of it as it was such beautiful colours on its head, any ideas would be greatly appreciated as to what kind of bird this could be, I’m sorry the description isn’t much more, Thank you so much if you can help me with this.

What do you mean by coloured? Light a bright colour or as in not white? We have black-headed and mediteranean gull breeding in the Netherlands which have a brown/black head. Little gull also has e dark head, but is only seen on migration. If it had like a pink, red or orange hue to the head that is probably some dirt that got onto it while foraging. We see that often in gulls. And the name of the city was almost correct, but ends on an M instead of an N

@@TheDutchBirder Thank you for the correction, it was like a creamy browny colour, yet it looked like a thinnish seagull, it was on the banks of the harbour.

@lordkeith.4350 sounds like black-headed gull, which despite it's name has a brown instead of a blavk head

@@TheDutchBirder that could be it, if you have a video of that bird perhaps I could take a screen shot of it ? But only if you don’t mind please. Thank you so much.
