The jewelry box, armoire styled, works with the music in the bottom drawer. Check to see if the bottom drawer clip part is picking up on the music, it might have gotten bent when it’s being pulled in and out. I have a jewelry box similar to that. At any event, it should work when the bottom drawer is open, so try that? Super organized “Dave, in the garage!” You’re going to feel so much better. ❤ I know I do! 😅

Great Job on reorganizing. PLUSH - so you don’t have to go to the listings and add a sku, just write a quick list and tape it to the outside the tubs and when you go to pull, it will be SO EASY. Your daughter could do the lists for you.

That looks so good! You’re much more relaxed! Good job! I buy trash compactor bags to put my plush in and then skew a number to each bag corresponding to the plush. Bags can easily be stacked in a corner and easier to find the plush.

This is looking great. It is an ever evolving situation for every reseller and it will continue evolving as you do but this looks like a great system for you. I used a sku for clothes which helped me find things quickly, but I had a LOT of clothes and it was only way that made sense for my business. Your system used to make me anxious but this new way makes sense to my brain. It's logical even for someone that is not you to find things (which I think is the real test).

I live and die by my bins with sku’s but have super limited space and do mostly clothing so it just seems to work better for me for now. I absolutely see how much better this should work for you. I think the comics in a drawer are a good idea - they don't get bent or damaged and are protected from an potential water damage. May be easier way to find them but if this is working don't worry about it

I always love when you organize. I need motivation to do the same. Part of the reason things were easier to find is because you recently handled most of them. It's top of mind. One thing I didn't hear you address is the issue you were having with remembering in which category you had put something. Minimally, it would help if you note your listing with that information as your "sku".

YES and your mom or dad have some stories to tell about your family! Once THEY pass away the knowledge will be gone and you have nothing to pass on to your kids when they have questions. Comic storage: lots of people use filing cabinets. It’s fine to stack books as long as there are bags and boards. If you want to take it the extra step: rotate them every month, so that the same book isn’t on the bottom. Pressing a book is way more pressure and weight than 20 books stacked.

That Japanese ration card is most likely from being in the military and stationed there, or there for an x amount of time where it was necessary to have it. I was married to a man in the military and we lived overseas in Germany for 3 years. We had ration cards for gasoline and cigarettes. If we didn't have the ones for fuel, we would have had to pay a lot of money for fuel off base. Those ration cards allowed us to purchase gasoline off base for the same cost as it was on base. The cigarette ration cards were something we redeemed on base. Cigarettes were rationed overseas. So yes, those are issued through the military.

Just a suggestion, in my opinion a tripod setup would work way better than you digging through things and climbing ladders with your camera. It just seems difficult and unsafe for you. With a tripod setup on your island you can avoid that and viewers can still watch you pull items.
