I finally entered a painting competition, here's how it went

Congrats on frist place m8! You earned it and it was cool seeing it all come together. But i think i have an idea for the osl. Your photo really sold it ad an osl and i think thats because it nocked that ice yellow back down to a yellow green instead of a yellow. Having ice yellow on the rocks in the cracks would probably be fine but having it having it on those edges was a bit to bright. So that photo was perfect a perfect choice. But again congrats man you earned it.

Thanks for the ongoing support! and I notice that the camera and lighting set up i have for recording videos still needs some work so i totally see what you mean by the photo doing it way better justice, i still feel like it didn't entirely work but its a good step in the right direction to learning, i'll be happy enough to look back on it in a year for self comparison of progress.
