Yeah I'm a little disappointed that they've ended the z3 series without getting Ethan to do a turbo conversion that would be good to see and nothing beats a boosted BMW na engine I wouldn't part with my turbo m54b30 it wheelspins past newer cars that should be faster for fun haha it's always a funny conversation explaining how my car is worth a grand total of 4k and their 40 grand sports car just couldn't get near it 🤣

So glad the boy's enjoyed the track day. I Was fortunate enough to set the car up @ SRD Tuning the day before and find some gremlins we sorted out for them. Was a funny day and was well worth it to see them laughing so much and enjoying the car. Awesome job all involved brilliant build series 👍

5:03 this is why you need to heel and toe on RWD cars cause the engine braking acts like a handbrake "locking" (momentarily) the rears wheels and when you steer at the same time the rear just spins out uncontrollably something you don't want while racing anywhere... rallying included.

It's also known as a "Shift lock" in drifting - used a lot back in the day in Japan to lock up the rears and initiate around a corner. Probably not the best for a gearbox though!

those of us that are bonafide petrol-heads absolutely LOVE seeing a transformation like this. a person who kinda wants to get into cars, surrounded by car people who guide them through it, so that they can build and enjoy their own creation. THIS is why car people are the best! Ethan did a fantastic job on a proper little sports car. the result is excellent, a great drivers car that is still comfortable, but zippy enough to take to the track and have some fun. well done!

I couldn't be more proud of the journey Ethan has taken over the past 2 years and I think Ethan deserves a final clean up build on the Z3 after seeing those seats; wrap the car and then get aftermarket clear tail lights and headlights as the yellow looks very dated.

Considering how much he likes practical cars, perhaps a ute or light truck could be good for Ethan's second project? CT have done track cars several times, so maybe something utilitarian for the road could suit him a bit more. Make it a challenge! That being said however you can't overlook this. When I lived in rural Pennsylvania it was no trouble finding roads like that track and I would hustle all sorts of cars around my favorite sections. Now that I live in Florida the only place to find roads like that are almost always on racetracks. Man, I miss being able to " test " cars on twisty bits.
