I have string swings all over the house. They come with drywall inserts (molly bolts?) that can handle much more weight than a guitar.

Re: String Swings. I’ve used them for over 15 years for guitar, violin, viola and ukulele and will likely never use another brand! Love them and being surrounded by all my instruments-regardless of temp or humidity. Although I do make sure it doesn’t get too hot or cold so as not to actually damage them.

Hi Mary I just spoke with Juha Ruokangas , I own a 20 year old Duke Deluxe that embodied the lessons he learned building this guitar. He was thinking about women that are excellent players and I mentioned that I followed you. He said he also watched your videos and said he was very impressed by your skills. Are you aware of his videos? He is always kind and answers some of my questions. He knows the man I buy my guitars from all left handed, He likes my friend Jerry of Jerry’s lefty guitars where I get my instruments so we have that in common also. You truly a gifted inspiration. Thank you ⚡️🖖🏽⚡️

May I suggest a hair light? Illuminating your hair and shoulders will separate your from getting lost blended into your dark background. You can search online for how portraiture lighting or directors of photography for film shoots arrange lights, so you don't get lost like you are in this vid. :-)

Just a suggestion on lighting. You might want a light to the side (perhaps your left side) and back pointing forward on your back/head. It will bring you out of the background a bit more. Especially when you wear darker clothing. It will make your silhouette "pop" a bit more. I think all you would need is a soft or defused light. For what it's worth. Love the set up and the new look!!

Lovely studio and set up. One thing that my wacky brain picked up and now I can't un-see, the two guitars hanging in the corner appear to give you Mickey Mouse ears. I'm guessing that this was not on purpose, but it is rather...fun.

A little late, but I have to ask - was "Oh - hi, Mark" a reference to ... The Room?? I really hope so, in which case - very well played!! I'd also like to ask if you and Mark discussed back-lighting your shoulders and head? Years ago in a video class I was taught that back-lighting is important to pull you forward visually from the background. Maybe you prefer not to do that (?). Last - I can't believe I've never noticed the little road bike tattoo before! Yet another way in which you are so completely awesome. :-)

I would love a nice studio like that one day. Right now I live pretty much in a converted office/warehouse and got about 60 guitars so the walls are covered and still most of my collection won't fit. I do need to sell some to thin the herd but they are all my favorites. Guess I will ask high and whatever sells, sells. Would also love a KZbin channel one day but I know nothing about how to do it. Need to start researching.

The blue light is like your PRS. For drawing, light from the left illuminates a pen point in your right hand. For lefties it would have to come from the right. The point creates the shadow rather than is within a shadow. Yes, this matters.

I picture Mary's singing voice as flowing out through an old wooden beer barrel. A voice that picks up all the texture and earthlyness from the timber before it gets heard. It would be really suited to celtic music with that devastating mid range. Most singers voices are the equivalent of the modern aluminium barrels.

I have to say that my favorite part of your new studio, as well as your old studio, is you. You welcome us into your life and share some things that I would find difficult to share. But that is what makes you, you. You are a very giving person and people can learn a lot if they pay attention to you. I feel when I am in your community, whether here or on Patreon, that you have a loyal gathering of souls that feel very protective of you. Keep up the good work.
