Congrats on the job. The value of a job, not in monetary terms, is the sense of achievement. Even if it's menial, there's something satisfying by working. Also, you then value your free time more. Also, I' think productivity is perpetually motivated. Getting up and going to a job, you stay in a particular zone. When you get used to the job, you can come home and continue on. More importantly, it seems you are taking a pro-active step making life better for yourself, with a positive attitude.

Good luck. I did wonder if the delay was you picking up the winnings from the lotto in Lissycasey ;) Joking aside, not the dream job but it will benefit you mentally as well as your physical health and will no doubt give you the proverbial kick up the backside to move forward. Not having a dig, but you can get stuck in a rut on benefits and not easy to get out of. Must have been very frustrating knowing your good at something but can't take the work on as it would take away that safety net. Best of luck again. Really hope it works out for you.

Hahaha someone else mentioned that on my Facebook post the other day. Now the penny is dropping I'm just realising it now! I won a small lotto on my own head 😂 I know I was feeling kid of trapped to be honest. Benefits is an azmaing support system, even if it's a little broken but it feels like a bit of a trap too. absolutely delighted for you mate, as u know i worked for Tesco and i know some of the staff back where you are, Great bunch of people, good company to work for mate, your looking at it in the correct frame of mind, it will be good for your mind body and pocket.... there is always overtime going as well, and you will really benefit from this. i was wrecked and ached all over the first month i worked for them as i was sat behind a desk for 10 years before joining Tesco. its Win Win and Win mate, well done

Congratulations on the new job, look we've all done the jobs we didn't set out to do FIRST, but we got on with, made the few bucks and used the experience, you'll hopefully find that you'll never be out of work again, there's an auora attatched to a person who is working, you feel taller, shoulders are bigger and you are necessary now!!! No disrespect to the wonderful people unemployed at the minute, we've all been there also!!! Nice one Ollie! Feeling good about it. All the applying and persistence eventually paid off. I've applied for some many jobs over the past 18 months. Its nice to be given the opportunity after so long and I'm gonna make the most of it while I can. Yeah I definitely feel better in myself with the job. Sore feet is the worst part of it but I'll survive, no pain no gain 💪🏻 I know, I didn't want it toum sound slime anyone on social welfare was bad or anything like that. It has helped me so much and kept me afloat when I had nothing else. But I'm just glad to be off it and I hope it stays that way too.
