I think thorn will be a trap operator in the vein of lesion. You don't get kills with her gadget instead you use her gadget to make the attackers expose themselves so you can kill them.

i think a good way to play thorn would be to anchor and hold on to 1 or 2 gadgets to toss on doorways/open walls to make executes harder. at that point might as well play smoke though

It's also about reacting off a sound que. If an attacker decides to push in faster off that info and your quick you can get a free kill. Or if they push back, you now have Intel on their whereabouts. It's a good balance.

@@jamesjackson7324 I understand that the game is teambased, but I can gauarentee u that there is no other op in the game that is so reliant on another teammate so heavly in the game. and even then the gadget isnt good. look at bik9iny bodys video about it. He litteraly plays monty, walks, and runs through barbwire, and it doesn't do a single point of damage. Why not just play kapkan who can give u sound intel like u said, or ela, and her gadget will actually do something, wh a better gun, and still has a deployable shield. thorn sucks right now. Also, I don't want her to be good, because we dont need ANOTHER trap op

I've been using thorn for a while and imo her gadget is super easy to use you just leave it and forget about it also put it in obvious spots like above doorways or next to the bomb or if you really wanna get creative break wooden floor boards open and hide them in their and if you put them in easy obvious spots you'll prob get a kill or two with them each game

Tbh all they have to do to make her gaget more viable is speed up the detonation time to explode when someone is running through 1 or 2 barbed wire next to it so that she can at least set up her own traps more often

They give content creators and Pros Early Access so they can have videos go up right after the reveal. However that's not what this is, Varsity is playing on the test servers, they release the new season ~3 weeks early on PC on a separate server from the live build of the game. Anyone can play new stuff early if you own R6 on PC, just download the test server through steam or Uplay. It's always been like that. Have you never heard of the TS before?

Just take note guys, Thorn's gadget is not meant to get kills. Its only an entry denial gadget, to push attackers away from entering site. So don't play Thorn just to get kills with her gadget and be surprised that the gadget doesn't get kills as much as you'd like to. Its only meant to pushback enemies from entry. If you want kills, you have to make sure theres barbed wire, or a Lesion gu, or a Melusi banshee, anything to slow down the attackers. Or if its a 1 speed attacker. Otherwise, dont play Thorn for gadget kills, just play for entry denying.
