I know that 90% of monitors can about crush bones as adults, but I can't seem to find out are they venomous? Some monitors have mild venom,do savannahs?
@theWazimu7 жыл бұрын
well maybe mouse bones xD Not human bones :)
@brittneyrossman36207 жыл бұрын

I just got a bel ball python today! We both got a new pet in the same day aha, just a quick question since my snake already has blue eyes how can I tell when it is coming into shed? And should I leave him alone till after his first feeding next week to start handling? Btw really loving your videos and personality, as an owner of lots of animals to I love seeing people with as much passion as me😄

Can you use a shed from Lowe's for an adult sized monitor? this would be for an outdoor enclosure.

Hi I have a question . At the exotic pet shop where I got my iguana there's a big sign that says to wash your hands after handling a reptile and not to kiss them because they harbor harmful bacteria like salmonella. Is this true? Thanks
@geee79467 жыл бұрын
Kay Boogie They can have salmonella, its more common in aquatic animals like turtles, I personally don't worry about it with my reptiles, I would wash my hands after handling if you're worried about it, but pretty much any animal can carry salmonella, dogs, cats, birds etc. so honestly it kinda just depends on if the animal carries it or not. unfortunately I don't believe there is anyway to tell.

@JossersJungle7 жыл бұрын
lucusrose He's a fully grown adult. I already have a water monitor we've raised since she was a hatchling, so this time I wanted to work with an adult. And besides that, I just fell in love with him when I saw him :-)

@davinaubade87337 жыл бұрын
why you do not free roam your savanah monitor is much better.
@JossersJungle7 жыл бұрын
Davin Aubade Free roam is not the best in my opinion. I cannot guarantee him the warmth and humidity he needs. Especially the humidity, if I should have that level of humidity in my entire house I would pretty much destroy all my inventory, In his terrarium I can guarantee him his needs are met. He will be out to stretch daily and outside when the weather allows it. :-)
@patrickhousdon66807 жыл бұрын
that's a Nile monitor not a savanna
@JossersJungle7 жыл бұрын
No it's not, nile monitors are much slimmer in their body build with a longer head. This for sure is a savannah monitor :-)
@Tepadj7 жыл бұрын
Looks like he has been fed with rodents.
@JossersJungle7 жыл бұрын
Tepadj He was, not anymore though. How can you tell? :-)
@Tepadj7 жыл бұрын
Because he is a really big guy. Feeding lots of mice etc. when they're young takes their growth to the next level. With insects they rarely exceed 70 cm.
