In case some people aren't aware, the monkeys represent an old Japanese maxim which are still seen often throughout modern day sources. They are "see no evil", "speak no evil", and "hear no evil". Them wanting Amanda to stop doing those 3 things seem to mean either she is the evil, or that they are trying to block her off from the evil keeping her in her state.
