I think I have more hours in Anbennar than I do in the base game now, and I still haven't come close to playing as all the nations with unique mission trees. My favorite so far is probably Skurkokli (as formed by Frosthide, although there are a few that can form it) cause you basically just go scorched earth and "decolonize" half the world's provinces because Ogres are very hungry and people are made out of meat. Also the ogre king is 100% just a normal ogre, ignore the fact that he's immortal and never dies.

Rancor Bloodtooth is the most normal ogre of them all! Ignore how he makes everyone around him extremely hungry and those reports from the adventures who supposedly “killed” him!

Dwarves are fun I just hate the Hoard Curse crisis. I want actual challenges, not the game just stopping you from being able to do anything for 1-2 decades as you wait for annoying ass debuffs to get solved. The Hoard Curse is such a lazy and unfun way to stop Dwarves from being op, and after it I went right back to being even more powerful. The only downside with Dwarves imo, but it is a big one.

@@TheBigManWithTheBiggerPlan I disagree, for one from a lore standpoint it makes perfect sense that a dwarven society would slowly collapse to greed and corruption, and when money is the problem, only money can fix it. This symbolism, where the whole game ur making more and more cash, just for your greed as the player to turn around and bit you in the ass is a nice commentary on the play style of dwarves. Also, The hoardcurse, if you prepare for it can take less than 5 years.

Their mission tree is very interesting, they're an elector in the Empire, and the challenge of taking out both Lorent and Gawed is extremely satisfying. Go forth and liberate the Halflings

Great! More Anbennar, terribly underrepresented mod for how amazing it is. I'd recommend playing as Venáil or Chaingrasper next time for getting the full magic system experience and become super op by the end, Venáil is all about the elves going back to their homeland in this universe's new world and remaking the fallen elven empire, while Chaingrasper is all about Dak, the goblin genius who becomes a Lich and leads undead hordes out of the mines.

Yes lets go. Anbennar is awesome and deserves so much love for all the time and effort put into it. The Command MT is great. It manages to be expansionist while not being boring including a pretty unique disaster which is tough but fair. Would love to see a part 2.

My friend group has exclusively been playing Anbennar for about a year now (excluding when new DLCs hit). It's a great mod with really interesting gameplay. I especially enjoy the Dwarven gameplay.

IIRC, The Command is the Largest MT by count in Anbennar (It's either that or White Castanor, a formable in the 1600's in Escann, Anbennar's Russia/Balkans area). By size though, I think one of the dwarves have a MT that is around 3 MB in just text alone. Pukebeards Campaign w/ The Command shows the size of The Command MT being 2 hours long, highly recommend if you enjoyed this video. Careful now though, Instead of people making Lathe jokes and talking about the who actually started the great Dumpster fire of Durham (my vote is on Tom, that Simo guy is pretty sus too though), people are gonna start requesting more and more Anbennar.

Anbennar does really good internal struggles and civil wars, I've so far found Alenar, The Jadd Empire and Ameion have really intriguing ones that hit you right when your starting to feel like your unstoppable. And of course every dwarf nation is a roller coaster of feeling incredibly strong and then incredibly weak

I have done a full playthrough of the command, and all i can say is... play more of them, it gets better the more you play. And here is the interesting tip for you Laith, the faster you complete the mission tree better the bonus you will get from the last mission.

Love this mod, I like playing Corvuria and trying to make as much of the empire into vampires as I can. I also liked the idea of uniting the trolls in the northern plains and fighting the centaurs, but I personally felt like they get a bit boring once the centaurs are beaten into no longer being a threat and you are just fighting the small nations to the east over and over. Gnomes at the very west end of the empire are also fun, they get worse troops until late game when all their technologically-boosted troops are some of the best in the entire world, with their inventor bonuses being pretty neat

My absolute favorite race in the game are the trolls, up in the north. They have an incredibly fun hit and run play style, where you fight... and likely lose. Then get back and regenerate over a month or two, fight again. Still possibly lose. Regenerate again, and then finally take a crushing victory. And it definitely feels the most transformative of any of the races, in my honest opinion.

@@wonderingdrunk2307 manpower recovery, because they are large and don't breed fast. But they reinforce from their manpower almost instantly. So their limitation is long-term not short-term manpower, which, as I said, is an incredible change.

Reinforce +15 and morale recovery +50 are just not good enough for them. You might think manpower recovery is longterm but its short therm
