Anbennar is great, not only is it the best eu4 conversion mod BUT it also has an entire race around playing tall, it would be a shame if Laith had to play the dwarves. A great antithesis to this video would be the Ovdal Lodhum, the loving dwarf race (except for Gobos and Orcs)

Please laith do a full run around the jadd empire it’s probably the peak of content that you are best at. When you get your full mission tree there are missions that actually ask you to be over 500% OE!

If you want to focus on magic for a next campaign I'd recommend Chaingrasper in the Tree of Stone, the cave goblin clan lead by a genius magician goblin. The mission tree leads you towards becoming immortal through necromancy, which lets you master every type of magic and it's incredibly fun

Especially since the Serpent Spine, the huge tunnel filled mountain range where the goblins and dwarves live, got a pretty big rework in the new update, with a new UI for some pretty cool mechanics that let you explore old holds and caverns

Another good option for a magic campaign is Order of the Iron Scepter into Esthil/Black Demesne. Escann might be more Laith's speed.

Abennar is the only way I play now. It has so much flavor and intrigue. It's still in development as they plan to add more and expand on so much more content.

The devs are currently in the process of expanding Sarhal, which would be the Africa of Anbennar, and expanding Insaya, basically Japan+Polynesia of Anbennar but with a twist of everything being gigantic. Other plans are to expand mission trees and flesh out mechanics of some religions and other tags such as Spiderwretch, a goblin spider cavalry army.

very happy to see a mod as great as anbennar. every region feels pretty different, most mission trees have lots of flavor. There are a ton of unique disasters. all around really grand mod. If you do play again I'd recommend Balrijin gold scaled kobolds searching for their dragon. Alternatively, the various dwarf nations are all pretty good too.

My favourite part of this video is right at the start where laith enables mythical conquerors and doesn't say a single word regarding it, he does know that mythical conquerors gives a select few of the biggest nations a ruler with a trait that is frankly cheating, I can't remember the specific numbers, but I know it deals with a huge discipline buff, big aggressive expansion reduction, and also siege ability, the 3 main ingredients to being able to expand quickly (alongside other things like hugely more force limit and the means to fund said hugely more force limit)

It gives them 10% discipline, 3 stability, 3 in each cathegory of monarch points, buffs to ae reduction, army cost/force limit, siege ability and it sets their ruler's personality to aggressive

Anbennar is so damn awesome, I am more excited for Anbennar updates than the DLCs these days. Please do some more campaigns in this mod! Some of my favorites are going from Redscale Kobolds to Artificer Koblidzan, Esthil to Black Demense, or practically anything in the Dwarovar!

if you want to focus on magic I would reccomend playing as the Order of the iron sceptre, they are an adventurer band that settles in escann after the greentide and they can form their own kingdom focused on black magic. They start with native mechanics that let you take tribal land from the orcs and settle it and once you reach admin tech 7 you can reform into a proper country called Esthìl.

If you want a good intro into magic then going Order of the Iron Sceptre into Esthil, wait for the special ruler event, invest fully into getting lichdom, infinite time for learning magic, plus bonus content when you've united your 3 main regions with loads of conquest, plus op undead army ;D

Laith looks at the bottom part of the mission tree. *Everyone who knows the additional missions you get later* Man Laith looking at some countries would be overwhelmed. Dwarves would be one thing but like Cannor, Aelnar or even the Reach would be a campaign that completely hooks him in

They're always adding more to this too. Currently they're mostly trying to add content to the area south of all the those gnolls and kheterata. Lizard people, halflings, more demon worship, and other stuff. I'm looking forward to it.

That’s the beauty of Anbennar, it doesn’t actually change most of the base game’s functions; instead, the changes (like magic, races, minorities, hold digging, etc) are additions) are additions to what we already know. Imo, this makes it better than actual total conversion mods like MEIOU, which completely revamps everything and takes much longer to actually understand. Compared to that, in Anbennar, you can easily play most campaigns without ever touching the races menu, without studying magic (if available), without casting a spell from the mage estate, and so on.

Another good magic nation is Esthil. They start as the Order of the Iron Scepter, and they're all about pushing the bounds of "acceptable" magic. Good fun, and you get a flying castle. And a massive zombie army.

You're correct in comparing Jadd to the early muslim conquests, alot of the influence for both the Jadd and the NSC nations of Birzartanses and Irrliam is based on the Rashidun Caliphate conquests (for Jadd) or later Caliphates (for Birzartanses and Irrliam)

Hey Laith, I got three Vicky 3 challenges for you. You should play the non-meta way. Play a Ethnostate and still have the slave trade. Try to still have a successful country. Maybe play as Brazil for this challenge? Next play Persia, try to keep your independence and form the Persian Empire. Try to industrialize the nation and liberalize the nation. (Maybe communist, Anarchist, or a Republic) hell you could tie it in with the Ethnostate Challenge. You could also play as the pope, and try to do Crusades against the Protestants, Muslims, and Treaty ports around the world. While all your laws forming around the church, like state religion, charity hospitals and religious schools.

You're right to say The Jaddari is based around the initial muslim conquests. I believe I heard that "The Jadd" is basically named after the jihad. Also they're in the totally-not-middle-east region between totally-not-india to the east and totally-not-mediterranean to the west.
