I Finally played the VIDAR Platoon (Major Letdown) | War Thunder Mobile

Long time no see, I was really looking forward to playing the VIDAR after my joyous experience with the AUF1, but boy did it disappoint. With 9kg of tnt, you’d think it would be better off overpressuring enemies but that wasn’t the case at all. Tanks like the Merkava, Ho-Ri, M48A2 C, and every Soviet tank tier 7 and up were practically Un-overpressurable. And with that long cannon of it, you’d also think it’d have the best accuracy. WRONG. It was seemingly impossible to accurately hit shots from a distance which was literally needed to hit points that would allow overpressure. The turret speed is ungodly slow, has no depression, and don’t let that “6 sec reload” fool you. It’s an autoloader and after what feels like 3 shots, the autoloader empties, and the reload speeds slows down to around 10 secs. Additionally, the sheer size of it alone makes it a vulnerable target. Speed is good but it’s overall an unreliable tank. The U-SH 405 is a very very fun rat tank which I may just make a video with by itself. Its rockets can pierce through any armor but itself can die pretty easily. There is a bug, however, that doesn’t let you shoot the secondary rockets when you’re up close to an obstacle. I died many times because of it. The Strv is alright. I didn’t spend too much time with it but it’s very reliable on maps with just one capture point. It has very good pen and frontal armor but the aiming speed is frustrating and insanely slow.

@@Victor2384-o7x You can see the reason in AKillerSniper comment, the HE is very unstable, it's hard to one shot with this tank when compared to the auf1 platoon And the artillery tanks in the FIAT 6616 platoon are better than this.

Hey! Since you seem to be having quite the trouble, I’ll help you out with a few of your shots (speaking as professional AuF1 player, no money) 1. 6:03 while this shot works a better one would be to the bottom of turret where it meets the engine 2. 6:38 this also works but a more consistent shot would have been to the turret ring 3. 7:46 this technically isn’t a “shot” but it never would’ve penetrated anyway, avoid going for side shots unless it’s a sherman/leopard/turm/any light tank 4. 8:26 that really is the only place you shouldn’t shoot. A shot to the bottom of the turret (a little bit downwards) would splash on the hull roof and insta overpressure 5. 9:14 this might seem counterintuitive, but a shot to the barrel just where it meets the turret above the hull would again splash on the hull roof and insta overpressure 6. 9:28 again, see number 4 7. 10:59 I mean, i wouldn’t shoot anywhere else either but I’d want to save my ammo rather than take that risky shot

Maybe its my aim but the overpressure has not been working well. I use the Auf1 and Fv4005 to try and counter the Ho-Ri tanks and other heavies but it ends up being inconsistent with all tank classes, i once even shot a btr-80 on the side only knocking out its engine, not even the tires. The only tanks i get consistently are T95s, Tiger 2's, and Jadgtigers.

Yes, I was playing that tank. It’s incredibly OP. And yeah I also have the Brummbar. I’m not sure when I’ll make a video on it. I always wanted the ASU in the game but now that I’ve tried it, it really sucks… the other tanks in the platoon ain’t too bad

for me bidar is better i overpressure turrets easily and i use the panther strategy of turning then idk im just a cupola hunter every is tank fears me specially if im the strv im insane the lil cyber truck is actually good its fun to aim by your own like the pc version the aa is good killed a m48a2 C with a single side shot😂

I swear I think they ghost nerfed HE rounds around the time this and the G6 platoon dropped. HE & Big cannon was busted when the AUF1 came out, after this and the g6, all trash..
