the rockets are only useful if you find a less armoured spot, but 9mm of pen is useless against armoured vehicles, except open tops

I like the ammo boxes they are an interesting concept, people on your tem should be able to use them too if you allow them its like they go up to it and its like "Player" is trying to use your ammo boxes allow/decline

The BM-8-24 is such an incredibly sad tank, I genuinely feel bad for anyone who buys it. Even at its BR, it's bad even against LIGHT vehicles, because almost all have at the very least 10mm of armor all around. The only thing it can be used for are against open top vehicles and nothing more. It's not worth a purchase even at 75% discount. The RBT-5 at the very same BR is millions more viable, having one of the best early cannons and torpedo rockets with almost the same filler as a Sturmtiger rocket.

You could actually play as artillery now. Have a squadmate, have him be in a light tank and call out/scout for you. You could estimate range by usind your teammates rangefinder + your distance to teammate (while also accounting for deflection, but that can be done roughly)

HVAP is only good when facing targets you would not penetrate with standart AP, otherwise, just pick Standard AP rounds, way more post pen dammage and just 10mm of pen less than HVAP
