You are doing the right thing by trying them out. Sometimes I think it would be better to be an equipment salesman than a landscaper. We have lots of SCAG stuff here as they are built about an hour south of me but Im a Toro and Walker guy. Toro is 5 hours to the west but tons of dealer support and parts are pretty available if needed. Hard to beat your man and woman crew for getting the work done. That money can be well spent in other ways.

Glad the business is going good. I know you guys work your azzes off. Love the vids. Shoutout from western massachusetts. I tried all the grandstand type mower and blower over the last 20 years. Maintaining golf courses areas. Whether wide open or tight spaces like home lawns. It’s whatever you feel works for your business. Scag Ferris toro are all great blowers with flaws and thumbs ups

Have you looked at the Billy goat P2000 stand on blower? No elect, motors, foot operated air direction control, fits 36" gate, 3500 cfm, 150 mph, 18HP vanguard, 8 mph, battery out front, folding operator platform, Hydro gear 3100 trans, 650 lbs., fuel tank swings out for service, MUCH cheaper, granted it's smaller but may fit your business.

Havent had any cooling problems with the ferris 1000 yet, but if there ever was a windstorm jr i would definitely give it a go. This beast is just too big and too expensive for my business. I use mine year round on parking lots /commercial jobs.

let some air out of the tires for better traction - that will grow the contact area of the tread hitting the ground and will also help with the machine wanting to wheelie

You have to ask your buddy how the twills did it actually fix the problem with the drive tire slipping because those things ain’t cheap worth it if it works

The biggest complaint I have with the X3 is the chutes or doors won’t open on the front or the right side. If you cut the engine off and let it reset then they will open properly for a little while but then it starts acting up again. I have had it at the dealer five times and he can’t seem to fix it.. Like u said it’s aggravating especially when people are walking or cars are coming and you need to close the doors and they won’t. Did you have any problems with your hurricane doors?

Few things. Traction sucks, if you aim the nozzle up you get far less blowback, you would have moved that pile way faster with the nozzle up, I think moving backwards you get less leaves coming back as well, if you aim it slightly forward but still almost fully to the right I think it moves piles much better. It was a game changer for my business. I can do $500 cleanups in under a half hour some days. You definitely learn to use it

I got a umount blower on my bobcat stander. I have turf master tires on it. It's just the opposite of that. To much weight on the front. Allowing the tires to spin in the back. Not enough weight in the back to balance it out.

So Randy from countryside runs the tweels in his and it helped out a lot. The machine is not balanced at all and that’s why it has traction issues. On the windstorm the nozzle is designed to run low so you can blow sticks and fine debris.

I. The next couple of years most states are going to ban gas powered blowers. It will start with the blowers and trickle down to all other gas powered equipment. Stihl has plans for 2030 to be 100 percent battery company.🎉
