Just a tip from a trapper as myself. I don't normally place my traps very close to the huts. Normally the younglings run around close to that and its the best way to avoid catching them. And learn to use a 110 conibear! its the best trap for muskrat in their holes.

Here in New Zealand people run 100+ foot hold traps up forest ridge lines each day. They trap for possums which they pluck. The foothold traps are very effective and cheap traps

No they’re definitely not pros but I’m not either. Getting the basics and trying ur own way I think brings new ideas and techniques to an art form I think. It’s like cooking. Nobody cooks the same way. I hope my kids take what they see on here and try it their own way some. Who knows they could make money one day off a new idea. And thanks for the invite to your page.
