Quick tip for coyote trapping if your traps are freezing get a bag of peat moss it won’t freeze. Put a fair layer directly on top of the trap then your layer of dirt. Another tip try using wax paper for a pan cover instead of cardboard Just some friendly advice

Flair, did alot of fox an yote trapping back in the day. Heres some pointers: make your set in open flat areas where the dog can see 360 around the set. Look up dirt hole sets. Use wax paper over the pan, never put anything under the pan then sift dirt over trap. Always set trap just to the side where they would step and make sure the trap is in a depression as they naturally will step in the low spot. Put your urine in a spray bottle and spray the set area when your done. Try a long range call lure and make your sets up wind of travel routes. Good luck love the vids!

Tip for castor sets: cut it up into small pieces, mixing it with mineral oil and glycerin. The mineral oil will spread the scent across the water. and the glycerin will prevent it from freezing

My father and I used to set three footholds to two stakes and use a 5 gal bucket of manure with some straw and urine to catch fox/coyote. Set manure bucket right in the middle and sprinkle some on traps and cover with straw

you need to get some snares for the coyote trail by the fence. that's how i trap wolf's and coyotes up here in Alaska. The best way is to get a dead carcass of some kind, then put it in some thick brush. then make 4 or 5 paths throw the brash and put a snare in each one. oh when it starts gets snowy you can get some wax paper and put that over your foot holds, with a light dusting of snow.
