I slap adept handling & it’s pretty consistent… MOST of the time.. but shottys need a range buff man, it’s tough sometimes point blanking ppl & it barely takes shields off!

I would go with accurized and smoothbore to get the range to 59 because opening shot and slide shot already give 45 range together maxing out the range (or corkscrew to get the range to 96), then you can optimize for handling in the master work and adept mod

I have this same role except frenzy not opening, started using it more since my matador has become increasingly more inconsistent and I'd forgotten how good TLFV is. I know if I had opening on it, it would be even better.

Frenzy is amazing if you can play around it, slightly more range due to higher damage, plus 100 handling allowing full range spec, though opening is better for consistency

As for matador, it’s still the most consistent shotgun in the game, human error is big on shotgun performance, it’s not as simple as point and click

Ayo panduh people are claiming aggressive shotty soft caps pretty hard at 52 range without opening or slideshot. So if you took off adept range for adept handeling i wonder if you would notice the difference? Could you give it a shot and see if it feels true? I run igneous and imperial and my imperial maps often and feels super consistent. But i think it only has 52 range rn

Found Verdit having 51 range is the god roll but cannot go further with it's range. Bungo capped ranges for specific shotguns and I also heard that slide-shooting was fixed to be useable again without having slideshot. My Found Verdict has 51 range and doesn't have slideshot or opening. However, it still is incredible to use in the Crucible.

deffo good. i think handling is objectively the play though. the added range isn't as it might seem. its good for getting cleanups, but ultimately when you dont get OHKs, its typically because of spread, not because of range. That is still an amazing roll though so don't mistake me. I would pick shroud & surplus over it every day of the week but there's more than 1 godroll and that is definitely a god roll. As long as you're hitting like 50 base range before opening shot, you have plenty of range, and investing in handling should be a priority after that. example of spread not killing, despite you being well in the range cap: 3:14. That's why I believe handling has more value.

The range state of the roll is 60 before master worked and adept mod applied, considering opening shot and slideshot give 45 range collectively it's a waste to invest more into range so it's better to op for handling mod and master work then a scalar mod instead of wasting it on range when those two perks were designed to cover that front

@@cyclo_17 with cork, accurized, surplus, opening shot, and a handling mw and handling adept mod, you have 65 handling at base, with abilities, you're basically at 100. if you run ophids, you can either drop surplus and go for something else, or invest more in range, which you really dont need but whatever. the roll i suggested has 74 range/64 handling, which is more than enough to beat falloff vs spread.

That's the exact roll I have. Now that quick charge is gone if I'm not usinf Ophadians or something like Dragons Shadow it feels really sluggish but it's consistant af. I've started using my surplus/opening roll more but you really do miss slideshot when it's gone. Also in this ability heavy meta surplus isn't as good, though on Strand it's ok since all 3 classes have access to more than 3 abilities charges so it's slightly eaiser to keep the good handling.

DAMN, I want surplus a bit more but slideshot is tempting. Also lucky roll, only thing I'd personally change is I'd love to have that roll with full choke. So I believe I've heard, bungie apparently nerfed full choke? Honestly I feel like it's always gonna be a good barrel unless it's heavily nerfed to the point where it gives like, 0 to no spread difference. Also, I just aim in so much that I mostly suck using guns like Last Word, because I'm not use to hipfire while doing PvP. Bungie did make hipfire more interesting for shotguns yes, but I still trust aiming waaaaay more unless someone is literally within hugging distance or like, seconds to milliseconds away from it. I still aim though, unless I know the gun I'm using has insane hipfire or like, I just felt like running freehand grip with something that has hipfire grip. I honestly don't need to type more about that xD just know I'm quite jelly, especially since I use to love rifled barrel, handling decrease kinda sucks but I believe full bore was worse? I can very much still believe in rifled though, ESPECIALLY WHEN I NOW LOOKED AT THE RANGE STAT!? I use full choke so much I forgot that the range you can get is quite stronger in return, for a high impact shotgun!? I suppose adept range also kinda adds to that too xD

The problem with matador is the second shot is pure garbage, can't kill at 6.2 m without being a god roll, mine for ex used to go 5.9 which is same range as lightweight. Matador is the best for 1vs1 but in Quickplay, Comp or situations where you are 2vs1 or 3vs1, Found Veredict wins
