I Finally Understand Cardfight Vanguard

I revisited Cardfight Vanguard after they announced a Shadowverse Evolve collaboration. But I did NOT expect to play one of the most hype card game matches I've ever played! I get it now.

The only controversial thing is that Tanko said Jet has no early game which is absolutely wrong, it was good because it was a stride deck that played the game well in thr early game too with aggro and draw. Also Messiah was a stride deck set that didn't ruin the game lol

The restriction absolutely affected Shuranui greatly. The thing that made Shiranui wild was how insane you could deck thin specific cards because of G2 Shojodoji Rideline, which let you use other pieces that needed a Shojodoji. Shojodoji G2 let you look at top 5 and take 2 stealth named cards and play 1 to the field and other to Soul. Then you can play Izasou which because you have a Shojodoji, let you go top 5 AGAIN and grab another stealth unit, and then Forktail. So yeah, tons of deckthin with DE OT letting you have 10-11 attacks and 8 drive checks. (depending on which stride).

You can shorten it to losing G2 Shojo makes Shira lose the consistent early game, while losing Dragveda took away the late game threat of OT turn.

Tanko made a lot of misplay but what really sealed it for him was he attacked in the wrong order in that last turn, he should've swung with the 56k column first and his next swing would be 58k still sealing the deal, but congrats Igni

They also could have used Upstream to bottom deck itself and let Balih gain 10k power

I play Vanguard for those amazing fights. Those back and forths where it feels like both of you are pushed to your absolute limits as equal players. I have fun with most of my fights, but those standout ones are the ones that keep me around.

So the chronojet guy should have won if he bot deck the upstream dragon and Balih would have saw a card get bottom deck for a plus 10k. Or the other times he could have upstream dragon and not call to keep his deck healthy.

Finally he's in boys glad you know why this thing stay strong even after first introduced......"in 2011!!!!" The gameplay the community you can find player using the same deck but not the same composition, the luck on trigger and the will to take the leap of faith and declare "final turn!"

Jet in DD only has 4 attacks though. Unless it’s the Arkrite situation where there’s a really bad extra attack option that nobody uses.

Congratulations igni you just feel the Vanguard peak moment. Its all sadly went downhill from here. Vanguard is the best game to play CASUALLY. Because things like this is a good moment, that can be talked about for weeks

I got Dear Days on Steam last year and while I enjoyed the game and wanted to ACTUALLY get into Vanguard, it's just not possible with the pricing mentality they have regarding the IP. The game in of itself is not at all worth the asking price. The content is severely lacking. The season pass is also just a pure scam in terms of pricing and included content. This is the primary and most important issue with the entire IP. It will never be fixed. Better spend your time elsewhere.
