A good indicator of if you got it right after the fact is what Johnny says about V when talking to Kerry, he'll either say that the two of you don't get along, or he'll say "Kid loves me".

When I first played the game, I decided to help Hanako because I didn't want to put Panam and all those cool people at risk. The ending you get with that one isssssssssss pretty effing dark. I reloaded and did the "good" ending where you ride into battle with Panam and then leave Night City. What an awesome story, bummer that a bunch of the side quests and stuff leave things unresolved.

Exactly, it's such a let down. The guns been hyped up since you've first used it with Johnny, seemed like a handcannon, and when you finally got your hands on it it was just disappointingly weak. Only if it would come with extra Crit Chance/Crit Dmg or Headshot multiplier stats like every other gun in the game.

@@gvl1260 Well, I could understand if the rare version (I would let Johnny give you the rare version with the exact stats of the current legendary one so that you can upgrade it via crafting and make it a monster in its legendary version) was super weak because Johnny was a rocker boy AND he himself multiple times stated that he had reputation, fans and overall cult of personality BUT money were never something he had a lot of. For example in the mission with the painting when V asked him if he was on the moon or in space - Johnny answered him/her essentially with "With the money I had while playing with my band? In my dreams." So, it would make sense that top tier merc that is actually really rich would have better guns than Johnny's rare gun that wasnt fine tuned at all. (Lorewise it makes sense.) However, the Legendary crafted version should be something like +400 electrical damage + 30% shock chance (the shots can be truly breathtakin') + 100% crit chance + 300% crit damage + 250% riochet damage AND with super penetration perk that the bullet penetrates more enemies at once, if no enemies are present bullet can go through wall - hitting enemy hiding behind it. So that Johnny's weapon after V does a little tinkering with it is actually OP as hell because I LOVE the weapon style, look but its just pathetic compared to Revolvers and other possible pistol options like Overture (or any of its iconic versions) or Comrads hammer.

@@Dark_Voice Yeah, you and I are on the same page. Though one would argue about the gun's potency lore wise; like it's custom made, one of a kind gun of Johnny F. Silverhand, it wouldnt be that far out to be a little bit more beasty. We are not talking about a sportscar just a gun, if he could afford a custom made gun as he very well could've, it also could've been a bit better than what we eventually get. Agree with your assessment that it would've been better to get the gun in epic or rare variety as you get most iconic weapons, and then you upgrade it as you see fit. Then you truly have not just a good lookin' sidearm, but a powerful one at that. I remember I first used the gun to mop up the remaining Maelstrom goons at the dock after the mission's ended, just to test it out, and man it was a peeshooter. My upgraded Dying Night had bigger crit dmg than the Malorian...

The story is fantastic but the lack of choices that make a crazy difference (other than who you decide to romance or whose side quests you choose to complete or how you choose to end the game) really hurts replayability. For example, those who complete everything on their first playthrough (like me) will find nothing more to do on a second playthrough.
