Sunroof express sells glass replacements they are normally pretty good about keeping a stock of parts.

I have a 2006 1500 cateye with a sunroof and mine was leaking also. I did some research and I did the tape method that you mentioned and knock on wood I’ve had good luck with! I just attached the tape to the top(side of the sunroof) drain channel and the tape basically acts as a guide to the bottom channel (runs along the back side of the sunroof. The tape keeps the water from being able to run backwards and miss the bottom channel. Just some food for thought. I love the content man!!

As far as I know, the seal is more of a dust shield and serves to direct most of the water away, and what ever makes it down, which is quite a lot, gets channeled through the drain tubes. I checked my 2018 Sierra, '06 Accord, and '06 Monte Carlo. All have the seem in the middle but are still fused together. Yours looks like it came apart resulting in the gap.

I was able to get a roof seal for my 07-13 Silverado from the dealer. It was fine in the Florida heat but once I moved to Georgia that first cold snap hit and the seal shrunk allowing TOO much water in. New one piece seal, no more wet seatbelts.

Crazy I have a old 2004 avalanche that I don’t drive anymore fully loaded with the sunroof I’ve personally have never had to deal with the sunroof leaking no silicone or anything it’s sitting with 358k on the odometer. I’ve done spark plugs water pump and 2 fuel pumps truck still runs great.

Technically the seal isn’t made to keep all the water out just most of it from all my research and understanding. The drain tubes are what keeps the water from overflowing. Every sunroof I have ever seen has had a split in it supposed to be for growing and shrinking purposes. Run water over it and see if the headliner still gets wet. Hope this is helpful. If it was me just for giggles I’d use Black RTV silicone in that crease on the seal and see if that fixes the problem if not take it off no harm done🤷🏻‍♂️

What do you do to get the stains out of the headliner? My 2013 has stains in the cab corners from leaking at the door seals.

My 2006 Tahoe with a sunroof (knock on wood) has had zero issues yet and appears to not have been messed with.

I’ve heard of people using weed eater line to push all the gunk out of the lines then flush the lines with water

Try putting some silicone on the gap in the seal. It might help or fix it.

Take black RTV fill in the gap and let it dry and you will be good to go

I believe they are OE Wheels which are reps that are made with an 8x6.5 bolt pattern so you don’t need spacers/adapters
