As a windows user. I recommend the option "automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" in the taskbar settings or you will just buy a 1920x1080 monitor so the dock is small. We win! Not mac

That is actually a problem I have with that kind of taskbar as well. It just feels out of place, or it could be used and makes the whole theme just look worse. Which is why I don't use that. If it gave me usable space I would probably use it. Not like on Mac, but that the middle part is removed, because I like the menu on the left and the time on the right the most

My macOS dock is just the Finder folder and the trash bin, I just use Spotlight to call the apps I need. An all the apps I open disappear from the dock when I close them, so I can see at a glance which apps are open.

Mac OS already has a Bar going all across the screen on the top. That's why the Windows Taskbar doesn't feel as bad because it's one single Bar and not a Bar and a Dock. Together they use more space than the Windows Taskbar.

Well , that's unfortunate. Win Explorer resizes current app to fill up the space of missing taskbar and you can custonize it to not even pop up if your cursor touches the bottom of the screen. If you see "strip" when taskbar is hiden , that indicates that explorer is bugging on itself or something causes it to bug. It usually restarts itself.
