I flew Aer Lingus to experience Belfast's TITANIC Quarter - Here's what happened

I must admit I felt a sinking feeling when you said Aer Lingus as they don't tend to be too friendly to vloggers 🤣 but you managed to get a decent amount of footage. Still watching the rest of it now, but this part was very interesting as I'll be trying them for the first time soon too!

Part of the automated announcement on the plane says don’t take pictures or video of AL staff, procedures and equipment, but then goes on to say they do give you permission to take pictures and video personal to you - so a bit of a grey area and open to interpretation. I didn’t get any hassle from the crew which was a relief. ☺️😂

So pleased that you liked my home city Rog, Emerald Airlines are pretty decent too. Yes they're turbo props and only just above the weather but I've always found them very comfortable and the onboard staff prepared to go that bit further than let's say, the other two cost-conscious airlines people do. Haste ye back as youse say in Scotland, so ya do 😂🙂👍

Thanks, Phil. I was invited by the same conference to judge their awards so I did return to Belfast last May. Stayed in the Europa Hotel which was excellent. Had more time to wander around the city. I didn’t film that trip as sometime it’s nice just to “look”. Cheers for watching. 😀

@RogEdwardsTV ah the Europa, it's nickname over here is FortKnox, dating back to the dark days when it was and still holds the record for 'the most bombed hotel in the world' which is still standing and functioning. Flourishing in its case as Belfast is buzzing these days I'm happy to say. It always gives me enormous pleasure when people like my home city not least due to what it's had to endure over the years, thankfully those days are consigned to history, the new Grand Central bus and railway station behind the Europa is testament to that, well worth a revisit if you didn't get a look this time. 👍

Great vlog Roger! Love visiting Belfast, its one of my favourite cities. Nice to see a travel vlog featuring Aer Lingus Regional, I've yet to fly them- I've only flown their mainline A320 jets.

Great vlog Rog! The plane looked OK, as you say, only on for 40 mins! The Titanic Quarter looks amazing. Yet another to do trip for me to do in the future! Yes, I also prefer speaking to someone on check-in! Hotel room looked fine, a typical Premier Inn set up, which is, as you also said, all you need for 2 nights! 👍

Very good vlog. I went to Belfast (and indeed the island of Ireland) in March 2022 although we flew on an A320 with Aer Lingus (which took only 29 minutes from Edinburgh). We went for my sisters graduation and stayed at the Holiday Inn round the corner from the Europa bus station. I don't know if you had time to go to the QUB area and visit the botanic garden and the Ulster Museum as well. I enjoyed the Titanic experience even though it was very expensive but you do need at least two hours minimum to see everything.
