I too don't think I could sleep wasting such a luxurious experience.... The suite looked magnificent and to the eye, super comfortable and spacious. Crew also had warmth looking after you both, clearly making up for the Airport experience. I wouldn't say no to trying FIRST that's for sure. Thanks so much for sharing, certainly has made me put this on the Wishlist.👍

The sleep can wait until we arrive home! Unless it is a very long flight, that is. The suite certainly was amazing and incredibly comfortable. As for the crew, you are spot on - they treated us with so much warmth, it was lovely. And yes, it certainly made up for the poor airport experience. I really hope that one day you get to experience First too! 🤞🏻😁 And if not, then no worries, the fact you're on a plane travelling somewhere will be amazing in itself!

British airways has always had what might be the best selection of in-flight entertainment. Honestly, I used to fly A LOT more than i do now but it hasn't been that long They have been the only airline I've been on that offered entire seasons of hit shows for consumption. The attendants were always great as well. I'm a fan. Love your reviews. Hope you all are well.

At 10:17 I noticed there is a mistake on the BA 787-10 flight map. It says your girlfriend's seat was 1K, so it looks like there are 2 seats with the same seat number.

Maybe next time you fly out internationally from LHR in BA 1st and get to to enjoy the Concorde Room. I am still debating if I should fly business United and save money or BA 1st class to try out the Concorde room after the New Year celebration.

Good, balanced video Mr Bieber! My daughter is mod/sev deaf in both so great to be able to show her people like her doing things like this. You’re right though, F is great dependant on route. Our favourite is DUB-LHR-MEX. Concorde room, low taxes and plenty of time in the seat. Do it my friend.

Interesting trip report... British Airways catering is one area where they are one of the best in the business. Make sure you ask how you want your steak though! The seats aren't actually suites - for some of their flights BA's First cabins don't have a closing partition whereas their business product on the same plane does. It's worth checking the plane you're flying on. A couple of extras to mention - there's a Concorde Arrivals Lounge in Heathrow, separate to the business arrivals lounge mentioned. If you're on a connecting flight, make use of the main Concorde Lounge as even if you're flying Economy to a connecting UK airport, you get use of it if it's on the same ticket. While it's a real shame that BA have removed their Elemis Spa and better sleep facilities, (hopefully these come back after the renovations currently underway), the main Concorde lounge is fabulous, and some of the most comfortable airline lounge seating I've ever experienced in the world in an airport. The couches are genuinely ones to sink into, and you have service to wherever you're sitting in the lounge, so no need to get up to get a hot drink, or even food - yup, you can get your eggs benedict (or anything really) served to your comfy couch, in the terrace area, while you do some plane watching. It's also worth noting that the bar in the lounge makes cocktails on request, and I've even been able to get a White Russian, which I can't get in most regular bars! The other game changer in Heathrow (security and check-in area aside), is the baggage check in the lounge itself. If you're lucky you'll get one of the gorgeous BA branded First wooden fobs, to take away with you while you walk straight through the Millionaire Door (that takes you to the regular security area exit) where you'll be greeted by a wall of sensory overwhelm, but look pretty smug doing some shopping in T5, while having the benefit or not having to roll around hand luggage with you. There's pros and cons to BA's first class product, and flying JFK - Heathrow is probably the few times I'd use it over other airline's products and Newark just isn't the same as JFK. It's not a patch on AirFrance's La Premiere, or remotely close to the proper suites of Singapore Airlines for example. But if you're definitely flying back and forth from JFK and Heathrow, it's incredibly pleasant, and you might not even need the fancy bed facilities given you could easily fall asleep in one of the couches and chairs - honestly, I keep going on about them, but they're comfier than my sofas at home! ....One more thing, if you're a paying traveller and going on holiday to NY for example anyway, for 5 nights or more, then book through BA Holidays. Considering the connecting flights from UK hubs are 40 tier points and the NY flight in first is 210, then the holiday will be a 1000 tier point game changer, allowing you all the benefits of Gold membership, if you can get the last third of the way there and another 500 tier points Sydney is 360 each way, so even one flight and you're going Gold. This is probably where you actually would want to be a paying BA customer on flights such as these, as if you're going from Heathrow to UK hubs enough, you'll always get the benefit of security in no more than 5 minutes, and corridor that is secluded from the rest of the airport through the First wing and First Lounge access (or Gold Lounge as it's more accurately known). If you're taking a few trips to NY (and not buying your flight on Avios), then 5 trips mean you'll get the Concorde Room access as part of the Gold Guest List.

Another great vlog. I flew First from JFK to London when they used to fly from T7. I used avios to upgrade and the only flight they had was the daytime departure. Meant leaving Manjatten hotel at 4am to get to JFK. This is when they still had a Concorde Room but the kitchen staff were running late so no hot food Cereals, bagels, salmon, cream cheese, yoghurt.

It's not important, no, but all these little touches add up to make an overall first class experience. Strip away all the little things and you have a seat, plate of food and that's all. I love being addressed by my name, but if you prefer otherwise then that's fine too 😊 The most important thing is that you enjoy the experience!

Great review. Really informative and comprehensive. They say BA First is the sky’s best business class rather than a true first class experience compared to the likes of Emirates, Air France and Japan Airlines first class products. Air France includes a car service to the aircraft in Paris, for example, and a private concierge!
