Making the puzzles accidentally too hard and forcing people who are otherwise not into them to play them are the two most common mistakes for puzzle designers. Pointcrow has shown he likes them, just do another one for pointcrow 😊 Also, NL is the perfect fit for this 🥺

If the answer is two words, then the clue usually says that. Stuff like A Swim or In Ink is tough if you're only expecting one word!

I agree with you, but have you done NYT Crosswords? (mini or regular) They specifically never shout out when it is more than one word, can be many words and they don't acknowledge so in the clue. If you are seasoned with NYT crosswords (and certain other publications) part of the puzzle is solving multiple word answers without having the extra information. Sounds annoying from the outside looking in, but when you get into the nitty gritty of 'crosswordese' its all part of the fun.

When making cross word clues, make sure to put the number of letters per words in brackets e.g. ISTAN, should have (1,4) after the clue. Would love to see you make some for NL next!
