You need to have a strategic bomber in range to nuke. You probably had some planes modified to not be strategic bombers

To nuke something you need just have strategic bomber in the airport, not even in the air-zone, you don`t need to put it up. If you have enough range you can nuke anything. Also you can install hotkey mod for nukes. Also waiting for vanilla Albania world conquest

32:07 Stat bombers don’t drop nukes based off air zones but by the range of the stat bombs themselves. They don’t even need to be on a mission to drop nukes. Also using nukes on enemy airfields is the quickest way to remove their air force it destroys almost every air wing on top of just limiting how many planes they can have up.

See you don't need a strategic bomber in the region, it's range as a plane in the airport you put it in determines if you can nuke or not, like it can be in an air region but barely, so you can't exactly nuke
