This is great. I started watching your cooking videos, then came across my other passion for learning blacksmithing. The knife looks amazing

What is the core steel, O1? What is the final hardness after temper?
@wardrumforge Жыл бұрын
15n20 with 1095 core. Didn't get a chance to throw it on a rockwell. Hardness files put it right around 60.

Why make a new knife and have it look like one from a scrap yard? And what purpose does the hump on the back of the blade serve?

When I see somebody using epoxy without gloves it sends shivers down my spine. This guy will get epoxy allergy.
@noneyabidness9644 Жыл бұрын
Don't ever watch me work, then. I do angle grinding using bare hands, despite having clamps typically no more than feet away. 😂🤣
@Boogie3D Жыл бұрын
@@noneyabidness9644epoxy is a totally different thing. You can be lucky all your life while grinding, but with epoxy you will get allergy sooner or later (sometimes you get it after a couple of times, sometimes after many years). When you keep on working with it despite the allergy, you can get to a stage when you basically can't hold a part that was glued with it without getting an allergy reaction.
