I've been watching all your videos and have to say I really enjoy them. It's pure flying - not a lot of chatter about instruments or ATC. Most of all what I enjoy is watching you as you work to improve. Your videos give someone a look into what it takes to get better and it's not just hop in and fly like a pro, it's practice again and again. One of my favorite memories from childhood is hopping in the back of our Tripacer for a morning of touch and go's or just a 2 hour cruise. Keep up the posting and never worry about showing perfect.

What a great way to spend an afternoon! You have a beautiful home area in which to fly. Very scenic. I've only ever flown Cessna 150/152/172 and the one thing that strikes me about the Champ is how early you take the power out of it and then glide to the runway. It looks like the Champ would fly a very long way if you had an engine out at altitude.

Probably just the wide angle camera. In reality, I’m just flying a tight pattern, a c150 would out glide the champ. Thanks!

Nice flying! What engine do you have? I used to fly a champ up until a year ago. It had the C85-12 with electric start and alternator. It was good flying plane.

Good verbalization of most procedures. On the first couple of landings you used a fwd slip. Did you reduce power to idle for that?

I’m almost always power-off on final.

@@prodigalpilot good to hear. I normally come in high with power off and use a steep, slightly fast fwd slip. Keep up the good work.

I think you doodled over the runways, were just too slow at touchdown and needed to nudge the elevator forward when the wheels touched to "stick it". Otherwise the tail lands almost immediately. Calm air is harder than a few knots of cross.
