Age of History 3 having all these portraits (I guess all AI generated) gave me a funny idea of having portraits change according to the dominant artstyle from, say, 1337 to 1821. One hell to implement it, but sounds gorgeous

It doesn’t really make sense that Great Britain requires Ireland since Great Britain refers to the bigger of the two main islands in the British Isles. It’s literally just England, Wales, and Scotland. United Kingdom on the other hand did include the entirety of Ireland at one point, (but now only includes Northern Ireland) hence why the United Kingdom flag is a combination of the Saint flag of England, Scotland and Ireland whereas the Great British flag is just the flag of Saint George and flag of Saint Andrew.

yeah the Acts of Union in 1707 combined the realms of the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of Scotland to the Kingdom of Great Britain. It is the Acts of Union in 1800 that combined it with the Kingdom of Ireland, which would subsequently add the red diagonal stripes of St' Patrick's Saltire to the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland

This game is fun, a bit rough around the edges but i can excuse that from a one man project aided by AI, plays almost like a standalone extended timeline mod for EU4 which is my favorite way of playing it anyway.

there is no custom missontree but there is the groundworks for modders to do that ig you can just add the example missontree mod into the game which is a hungary & brandenburg missiontree in 1440 but they only have 3 missions i can't wait for someone to make a good one for a few major nations, the creator of the game has been making a few mods himself like one that puts the owner of puppets flag in the corner of a puppets flag (like the uk still does for australlia and new zealand) as well as mods that disables a few features which can be annoying like nukes and alliances

I think I'm gonna pass on this. It looks like a mile wide but ankle deep kind of game, you know? Plus the whole AI art stuff has me not wanting to give money to this, which btw I didn't hear you talk about in the video. Probably would've been smart to at least mention that as a disclaimer, I got my hopes up and then saw that which deflated those same hopes right back down to nothing. Looks neat but I won't be touching it, besides I'm not that great at grand strategy games.

@@epikgamer489 As in the use of AI generated art (i.e. art that was not made by a living breathing human) turns me off from wanting to play this game. If it were given to me for free I would return it. In most cases AI generated art steals from artists who post their work, and I instantly distrust those who use this instead of hiring an artist. I like to write a lot, I love telling stories and entertaining people, or sharing my hyperfixations with them. This sort of thing where creative work is done by a series of computer programs, and takes potential employment away from artists would need the money, genuinely kills all interest I had in whatever it was used in.
