I used to in a crew called Royal Naval Commandos, and the little leader was losing members. I was loyal, up until the point I was playing with my friends, because they were alright, guy was stalking my profile and clips, everything. Then he threatened to stab me because I left his milsim to join the one I'm in now, even though we "deactivated" like a year back now

The leader probably don't know any of his men, meaning there is no team cohesion, whereas the smaller ones, everyone knows each other and a team of 4 can easily take out an entire lobby of milsim with some coordination. The team of 4 know how each member of their squad operates, and don't need constant Comms that will easily get clogged up, whereas the rest of the lobby are shouting at eachother just trying to get heard

They are the actual tryhards usually, the people that can and will, and will attack in small groups, while the others wait or perform other less active duties (map reading, submarine command etc). The Sparrow is just something else as both utility and for certain types of PvP. It’s easy to spawn and costs literally nothing to spawn, while also spawning basically anywhere (not just set locations of most planes/Helios. It also flies rather quickly and is small so you can fly though certain areas that most Helios and planes cannot go though. Love the thing.

Just so you know theres a glitch that you can use to spawn any aircraft directly next to you, request the aircraft from the vehicle menu then immediately request your sparrow and the aircraft will spawn on the street. Really useful for PvP and missions.

It is a real shame to see that this is what GTA's "milsim" community looks like. As a serious enjoyer of milsim myself, coming from games such as ArmA 3, I picked up a private military contractor style in GTA Online, and essentially just rolled with the RoE (Rules of Engagement) as well as the skills that I had learned over the years, and adapted them to the game, with varying degrees of success. I always hated Online's more recently developed bias towards vehicle combat, as well as the extremely lackluster sniper gameplay that usually just involves A+D strafing, and thus I opted to go for my own tactics that usually just involved a lot of good cover and a trusty Carbine Rifle. Sure, the tactics didn't always work, but it was surprising nonetheless at how well I was doing, and so I chose to stick with my more milsim style. As I took joy in hunting down wannabe tryhards and griefers, in early 2020, I started up my own milsim-styled crew that slowly but surely grew in size, and although our recruitment as well as our activity in GTA Online has essentially come to a standstill (many of us opting to play games like ArmA and Insurgency: Sandstorm instead), we still reached a size of roughly 50 people working together in a milsim style to fight griefers and make them leave lobbies and leave people who were just trying to sell wares or even just vibe alone. The real joy of a milsim in Online comes from having a tightly knit network of people that you know and fight alongside, every recruit has their strengths, and it's all about enhancing those strengths, about adapting them to work with the rest of a team, all in turn to adapt to fighting against tryhards, without falling to their level. You don't have a Mk II to call in when shit hits the fan, you have a pilot in the air standing by to provide air support. You don't have a sticky bomb to EWO when a fight doesn't go your way, you have a team backing you up on the spot. Milsim is a different way to play GTA Online, a way that strays away from repetitive strategies and exploiting game mechanics, and rather focuses on working together as a team to achieve a goal, and receiving gratification because of the additional challenge. That is what the milsim experience is like. These people are not milsimmers. They are just average sweats who like to think of themselves in a military context despite presumably lacking any form of communication, cohesion, and skill. They are merely disappointments to the term 'milsim'. And that disappointment damages those of us who enjoy actual milsims.

I onced fought in a Total Mil Sim Lobby, and it was mad fun. Some dude flew like real combat maneuvers, a other group drove around in a armored Convoy which was looked like this: Nightshark, Insurgent, Khanjali, and armored Grovers on each side. It all seemed very professionally done. Snipers at the rooftop, some people with only explose Waepons, heavy troops. God it was beautiful. Everyone had his own rule, his characteristic set of weaponry and it was allot of fun. 3hrs of tactical War Gameplay. I wish I would meet more people like this.

I used to be part of the milsim community at some point. It was good at one point then they just started becoming try hards and spam try hard tactics. I mean if you want a perfect example of clownery with them, you can also use the fact that they constantly leave the community and say that they're retiring from milsim only to come back like a week later.

I use the orbital cannon, but it's purely because A) I don't really care for stockpiling virtual money that _will_ disappear someday, and B) GTAO is not a game for being "good" at. Fighting other players in Los Santos is all about opportunism; with the exception of one's own personal set of values and standards to practice, no player owes another player a "fair" fight. Having realized this, rather than attempting to impress anybody, I usually just use the cannon as a means to bother people whom are harassing other players. On a similar note: isn't it hilarious how a broomstick warrior will go around sucker-punching random players for easy kills, yet when somebody swats them off their broomstick (either with another vehicle or a legitimate clean shot), they _always_ put the flex on and demand a 1v1? They demand a fair fight after introducing themselves with an unwarranted cheap shot using an OP weaponized vehicle. It's pathetic.

Between idiots buying shark cards and losers glitching all of their cash, I consider having a "functional" nest egg to be like a believable character level: never had more than thirty million, usually hovering between 5 and 10 million. Why is this okay? Because 5 to 10 million is adequate operational cash-- so long as you don't drop below 5 mil, you won't run into a hard pay wall. People like this are a contributing factor on why I don't play GTAO anymore. But I have a little story. Long time ago me and a friend of mine were killed over and over by a group similar to this. Idk why they came after us but they refused to stop. But I got the last laugh cuz I managed to get to my Yacht and the defenses somehow killed them in their boat when they tried to kill me. So even though I got spawn camped a lot, I consider that as an absolute win. For me, it's not about who gets the higher kills, but who's able to get one killed last and get away with it.

Bro FCNF poses as a milsim but they are literally just a griefing crew. I fought them before, once there was like 8 of them trying to kill me I trolled them by hiding in the mineshaft with an RC drone at the entrance and I kept shocking one of the guys that actually knew how to get in. I had 2 more friends further down the mine in RC tanks. It was glorious. The three of us ended up owning everyone in their crew that was in the lobby because one of them decided to kill me for no reason with a hunter and they saw it as a major problem that I defended myself.

There’s actually a little glitch you can do to spawn your plane in next to you like sparrow. First, call the plane, then call your sparrow in right afterwards. It will spawn your plane next to the sparrow.

Sparrow is over rated imo, I understand that it’s good as I myself are a very good pilot but I don’t really see the sparrow bringing much to the table, the buzzard is better for heli vs heli and heli vs jet and the buzzard is more accurate when spawn trapping. I would say the sparrow is the worst combat heli isn’t eh game except for the annihilator and annihilator stealth (and sea sparrow and havok)

@@SaggyWattle - I think that if you were as good a pilot as you say you are you would see that the Sparrow has a lot over the Buzzard, Ghillie even said himself that the Buzzard feels chunky and off in comparison. Each to their own though huh.

@@Pickchore well the only thing I see the sparrow doing better than the buzzard is killing ground vehicles (not foot mobiles) and mk2’s/other types of those vehicles, buzzard has very good stability compared to the sparrow and the mg’s help it with heli vs heli and heli vs jet, the missile delay isn’t a big deal since the stability helps you hit your free aimed shots and you won’t need more than 2. As for proving that I’m an above average pilot, yesterday I beat a lvl 444 in a fair 1v1 dogfight 8-1. Oh and as soon as ghille said the buzzard was ‘clunky’ he instantly got another sparrow and died before he could even get a shot off, I wouldn’t take ghillies words as law if I were you.

@@llDutchRavenll one I'm in is deactivated, it's just a tag now. Went over there after the leader of the one I used to be in got way in over his head. Royal Naval Commandos was fun, until we started getting better offers with better training and actual development of skill. I stayed up until the point of where I found out the leader was stalking my account, my clips etc. I was playing with a couple lads from the milsim I'm in now (despite the disbanded nature) and I got killed in a funny way, clipped it. Ten minutes later, get a message asking me if I needed backup. That's when I got out. Went from third in command to nothing but a grunt again but climbed up pretty quick. Guy even threatened to stab me.

btw Ghillie idk if you know this or not but if you want to call in your Starling in a pinch, select it from the interaction menu and then call the sparrow immediately after that. Remember to look down at the ground so that it spawns right next to you. Be sure to have a wide road though

I’m good at hitting ground targets and dodging ground missiles in the Sparrow, but when it comes to fighting other vehicles I’m pretty much at a loss. Very talented and well done. I noticed now though when I use the Sparrow I’m getting worse when using the buzzard. I want to see more helicopter fights. That looked fun.

I used to be apart of FCNF/UAFC i left months ago bc a lot people treated it more than a game plus it felt like a second job but I did have fun in the time i was there lot of them guys are chill and fun to hang out with but you had the guys who took the game bit too serious and try harder bit too much . But I am thankful for the guys 2 who taught me how to dog fight whilst I was in the Crew but it is a Shane to see them fighting like this . And it was bit of a wtf moment when I saw visions name in the thumbnail me and him was in the same Squadron and used to talk to him every day it's a Shane to see him ewo like that. it sad to see a crew what i want to loved fighting like that.
