The reason why Muzan didn't kill Tanjiro is easy it's because he was too scared because Tanjiro reminded him of Yoriichi and that's why he wanted to go away as quickly as possible and he knew that Tanjiro couldn't just attack him because the other people would think he's a murder also I noticed the most details like the Hashira revealing in the 1. Opening and the person who looks almost like Nezuko and Muichiro's sword got broken and many more and I think most people noticed it too because it's not really hidden it's easy to see

It's like in SWTOR when Khem Val tells the Inquisitor of his master's kaggath, an ancient sith duel of power, and how when Tulak Hord won after fifteen years he had his opponent's name stricken from history entirely.
