@@Mar_Chu A lot of the things cops do seem annoying because our daily life is completely different from what they see every shift. Their whole work day is made of the stuff that rarely happens to the rest of us. So, they just assume the worst, because that's what they see every time out. It is why and when you call them. The worst in this case would be car spotter tries playing nightstalker, and ends up getting shot when badguy opens fire on the CHP. He backstopped flying lead, not your POV.

The cops in Cali are a big joke. When there's a car chase, they just follow the guy around for hours, like it's a big parade. And then when the car finally comes to a stop, they just sit there (for hours) asking in the most polite way, Will you please come out of the car? I'm surprised they don't offer the suspect some Starbucks coffee or McD's food as an incentive?
