The past month has been incredibly stressful for me, but I stumbled across this channel and it's been a godsend. Your travels have been a deeply comforting escape, and I can't thank you enough for documenting these experiences! I adore those cozy streets (even with the open trenches I'd inevitably fall into) and the surrounding landscape, it's all so striking. Then again I also like seeing the small stuff, like hotel amenities and vending machines. It's like a mini vacation from my problems without leaving home. You're doing very good work, please keep it up!

0:13 I hope you'll have a video about Shirakawago up soon. 2:12 Looks like the Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo. 9:51 Reminds me of the Kamogawa in Kyoto. 16:23 "UP" is one of my favorites! 20:01 This street looks like one of the post towns on the Nakasendo. Thanks for a quick peek at Shirakawago. Stay safe!

Wait a minute... If you went to Takayama, that means you took the HIDA!!!! I'm so happy you FINALLY did this, I can't WAIT for the train video!! I'm very happy because Gifu prefecture, specifically Gero Onsen is my home town where I was born, and since I'm in Australia now just reminds me of home!!! Thanks again Travelgeek!

Such a beautiful village you've visited this time! I feel if I could visit here, I'd never want to leave!! Making me feel old, mind, when saying Pixar's Up reminds you of your childhood... I was almost 30 when this film was released! Lol! Beautiful Hotel too though! We don't get many places like this in England... Although we do have some very old buildings here (Worcester Cathedral is approx 1,000 years old.)

Something they don't tell you about Takayama is that almost everything closes up at 5-6 pm. I was there a couple weeks ago and, although we did have a very nice dinner out, there weren't a whole lot of restaurants left open to choose from.

Japanese Curry: I always noticed in manga an anime (and especially in your videos), that curry is a staple food in Japan and assumed it requires as much work like other traditional meals. I was wrong. I discovered original japanese S&B Curry in a local Asia shop. It`s quite the same as german MAGGI cooking mixes. Get the basic ingredients and prepare them like explained on the package. Easy and tasty. In fact, i will eat golden curry today. :) EDIT: Dear friend: The "Hamburger" is expensive and needs 15 Minutes? Well everything was freshly done on your order. No machine pressed patty, the cook prepared it for you FRESH. That`s awesome!

Takayama is a lovely place. Its so charming and picturesque. Besides Shirakawago, do visit Shin Hotaka Ropeway, bus ride from Takayama Station. The view of the Japanese Alps are gorgeous especially in winter. In fact I liked it better than Shirakawago. I visited this area in Dec '22 and recently again in July. Toyoma n Kanazawa are an easy train ride away too. I totally love the scenary from the trains in this region.

Well, your comment may be true but you cannot compare prices between Hawaii and Japan. I think the illustrated burger in this video looks very appetizing, and I personally don’t have a problem with the cost. “When in Rome, ‘Do as the Romans Do' refers to the importance of adapting yourself to the customs of the people who are in a certain place or situation and behave like they do. Example of Use: “Are you sure we should eat this with our hands?” Answer: “Why not? All of these people are eating it that way. C’est La Vie!

Someone doesn't fit into something. The owner shouted at the employees and the employees mixed up their meals. No one needs neurosis.
