To add further explanation: the Legionnaire (sword evolution) causes retaliation damage, so each kill with it increases your HP when you have Divine Bloodline

That's the thing. It's busted, but nothing scales off of having high HP. Having the evolved laurel already limits damage taken to 10, and gives a long enough invincibility period to heal up that 10 with most healing abilities. That's probably why it wasn't nerfed.

being able to watch someone else play this the proper way is definitely eye opening, I spawned inside the wall and could only see the left side instead of spawning in the starting area and only seeing the right side. it was hard blindly walking into the dark to unlock the secret.

When you get chance you should try infinite corridor with arcanas XII and XX Frozen enemies explode, and when you get empty tome as well, the cooldown becomes insane.

I survived through minute 28 with full curse on my first run because I had limit break with only one weapon and got the Laurel from candy box (Laurel carried me)

If you stay in that area and farm sammies (the caterpillar enemies) for long enough eventually you'll stack so many i-frames from picking up the pies that the reaper can't even kill you. Source: went afk for about 12 minutes, was unable to kill or be killed by the reaper.

Fun Fact if you want a good time. Limit breaking the beeg sword is hilarious if you take Divine Bloodline. Because the evolved projectiles and the slam both do retaliation damage. Highest health I've reached was 257k. And if you don't grab any healing items you end up with absurd Might since you gain 1% for every 10 missing hitpoints It's pretty silly. Taking Metaglio Left and Hollow Heart later on gives a lot more hp than taking them earlier ;)

Divine bloodline is absolutely insane. Thats why your hp went so high if you havent seen that yet. It also gives might based on missing hitpoints, not %, but based on how many health points are missing.

The crazy hp was from the divine bloodline and leigionare, divine bloodline gives max hp from retalitory damage which leigionare does, it also increases might and adds empty health to your weapon's damage

Play with correspondence on sort character and go backwards on Abyss, that's the Crystal meaning for. In Abyss, you'll need a character that have their main weapon to be evolved first to get rid of the dark place on that stage.

that perl probably only deals damage if you have one of the 3 arcana with you. if you have one of them, maybe the black shroud that blocked the perl off might also vanish and make it accessable

One character starts with the Prismatic Missile, and does damage without the arcana. The arcana just provide extra abilities. The shroud is a story related thing, and is removed with Maruto and the evolved Eskizzibur.

Bloodline arcana increases max hp with retaliatory dmg. Such as the sword u picked and armor upgrade. So with a ton of range and might u can ez wipe out the entire acreen every second. Edit: max hp upgrades such as hollow heart only upgrades hp at the time u picked it up. So for a max hp build u need to pick those last pretty much.

I like the new map and the secrets and the characters, but I do think the new map forces you to take clock lancet/laurel and their upgrades due to just the mass of shit that comes your way in the later minutes, which I don't think is a good way to balance the difficulty.
