In spring and summer I'm up before sun comes up in bed by 1 am about 5 hours sleep. In winter no work in bed when sun comes up sleep till noon. 7 hours sleep

Nice to see you're finally going to aqua scape. Your fish will be a whole lot happier. Maybe pick up a Water PH Test kit as well (if you eventually keep marine fish it's essential) and get your water parameters correct. Get the South American cichlids out of the African tank. They live in totally different water conditions. Get some shell grit or crushed coral as substrate for the African tank. It will raise the PH to around 8.5 and then watch the colours on your fish and their health, improve. The South Americans need Acidic water around 6 on the scale. Driftwood will turn the water acidic. Look forward to seeing the tanks Rob. And please can we get a live cricket feeding for the arowana. Happy fishing mate.

I had 2 pearlscales but after 2 years they both passed away my last one passed away when I got kicked out and they were in my cousins care, she turned of their filter and never fed them or done water changes for about 3 weeks

Not sure of your age, but when I hit around 23-25 I started noticing that any caffeine after 4:30 pm would make it harder for me to sleep at night. For me it didn't matter how much coffee I drank earlier in the day, but I had to stop at that time. Even if I had one cup for the day and I was finishing it up after 4:30, BAM! Difficult night of sleep. Coffee was my example because I don't drink things like soda or energy drinks, but I'm sure the same would apply to those. Just as a suggestion of something to try if things keep acting up.

Be sure to rinse that substrate before you put it in uour aquariums. I got in a hurry to finish changing out the rock one time because I had to go out, and when i got home in 2 hours, every fish in my setup were floating. I lost all of them, talking about a 55 gallon tank with over 40 small to medium chiclids. Never again.
