My lore theory: so you know that those enchantment table language can be spelled into an English language and you said that there is an ancient enchanter so my theory is that they are some kind of wizards and they traveled everywhere to find something that is much powerful enchantment so they traveled to the nether and they found a fortress and when they were there they made it as their home and they put some chests down to store their items and travelled to the end and built some sky stuff (the thing where you get the elytra) and stored their items there too and then until all the ancient enchanters are very old and about to die they made something powerful and can make powerful enchantments that makes tools and items strong... *The Enchantment Table*
