Today I go to a Sporting Goods Store in a huge mall called Lalaport and I thirst store called Book-Off in search of a Yonex Regna in Japan.

Nice racquets Harry! I own a dr98 the yellow one and it's incredible. After retiring the RF97 and switching back to DR now I'm really thinking about which one would suit me best: a 2022 ezone 98 or a 2023 vcore 98. Unfortunately here I can't demo them. I use to play more aggressive most of times so I can take charge of points. Would you mind giving an opinion about them? Thanks.

Those are both good racquets. The vcore is very hard to control the launch angle (so much spin and pop) so for me who has an aggressive style I couldn’t get that penetrating ball I wanted. The ezone 98 is more versatile and has a good amount of ball pocketing it’s powerful but it’s a control frame. I wouldn’t say either are the best for an attacking but the ezone edges out for me if your trying to stay in Yonex. The vcore pro is best for attacking players but it’s too low powered in my opinion.

I've played with a vcore pro but had the same opinion, confort, control but low power, on the other hand the older version vcore I played for 10 minutes was giving a good amount of depth to my shots, especially the one handed backhand. But I'd like to have the most versatile of them that seems to be the ezone in this case so I can swicth from a hard hitting to a slice or drop shot anytime without losing much control.

I don't think you could go wrong with either. I own the new Vcore 2023, which feels great. Very plush feel, softer than the previous iteration. I also own the last Vcore pro heavy. The latter I feel is for players that generate their own power, and hit the ball flatter. You'll get some spin clearly, but not as much as the new Vcore 2023. Hope that helps.
