I traveled MILES deep into the Loxahatchee River, past alligators & all to reach this abandoned farm owned by Vince "Trapper" Nelson! He was born in 1908 and was known for trapping, hunting, and keeping Native Animal species here in South Florida. Come along for this informational & visually amazing adventure!🤯

@@szymonbajer1679 Nature is and always will be an "Eat or be eaten" environment. So if you choose to live in nature you follow nature's rules, but he also studied them, caught them so others might study them as well up close, and I believe he was a serious nature lover, which is why he chose to live in it. The bigger picture, as well as his writings, says everything about him.

As a Brit, I absolutely love Florida,esp its wildlife. Thes anecdotes of how Floridian folks lived & worked in the wilds is cool,but Trapper Nelson was essentially a trapper and holder of animals,NOT a zoo keeper. Any modern zoo keeper would have a fit at the cramped and antiquated cages and pens but that whole place adds to the rustic charm and allure of life in the swamps. Fascinating as always
