I once encountered an enemy mid playing this build with phoenix. If you can't burst him down quickly enough, he will own the opposing team with his high magic dps and dagon burst.

For curios mangochads the ring of health costs 110 more gold than the 11 mangoes but saves you 3 slots. Still, maybe a fistful of mangoes is the right purchase if your rushing an dagon

I've played some Phoenix mid and many match-ups are very easy. If they rely primarily on right click to CS you will make their life hell with fire spirits. Plus, it's so much damage you'll harass him down and often kill with a tower dive + egg at 6.

Im gonna say it. stick/wand is a huge value item that should not be overlooked! i'm also wondering why not tranq instead of ring of health>? my reasoning is that the cost is about the same but you get move speed and 10 extra health regen over ring of health with the obvious caveat. the game i tried this out in, i ended up with a pipe to seal the deal.
