A Hopi gave me s drawing of Navajo mtn. It was not mtn and clouds in the sense of what we would draw. The archeoligist say petroglyph clouds are a checkerboard look. Their symbolism definitely isnt understandable to me. Ty for the hike along.😊

Great observation on the difference between repatined and not. Running figure nice. Seems unique to see motion depicted in figures.

Really exceptional aerial views in this adventure. Lots of rock art to ponder, especially the ancients' fascination with horizontal and vertical lines. Do those lines represent primitive counting or some sort of cosmic barriers? Phoenix definitely was having a lot of fun. This was a thoroughly enjoyable excursion into the Mojave. Thanks (I'm also enthralled with you other channels)

Smart of you to "stop and smell the roses," per se. I've only been through that particular area once myself, but was more focused on the other feature nearby. I've been itching so badly to get back out to that area and spend at least a couple days. Gonna have to stop thinking about it and just do it! Great finds as always, D!

I’ve been a subscriber to your channel for a while now, as I love your content. Ive also been fascinated by ancient glyphs for decades. I’ve seen many panels in my 30+ years of exploring the Colorado plateau (mostly southern Utah.) I’ve seen the vertical lines you pointed out in this video before. I also realize that any ideas we project onto such work is purely speculative. But if I were to guess at the vertical lines… I’d probably say it represents rainfall. Please tell me your thoughts on that particular glyph. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Such a great video thank you so much for sharing. You’re passion for these amazing creations really comes through in your presentation. Once someone comes to understand who the true authors/creators are, then the meanings become self evident ❤

You should gps every horizontal Dots petroglyph you find and check triangulations. Also count the number of dots as they could indicate a system of measurement.

Saw a PBS Nova on the Amazon with a panel that could be 10,000 years old with pictographs of mastadons and giant slothes amazing!

Wow those are amazing! That one scene looks like two beings in mortal combat. The one guy running at the other who is shooting lightning or some energy beam. Then those creatures with hoops and spirals on their hands look a lot like drones. How high do those go up the cliff? Did they build scaffolding to make those petroglyphs? 😮

Wow, what a find - another site seemingly overflowing with petroglyphs. I imagine someone has been making an effort to somehow inventory and even catalog individual glyphs here and at so many other sites too, which begs the question is it even possible? With this collection too I struggle to see how was it useful with so many almost on top of each other? The vertical lines often seen could be representing counting of something, but what? At 8:55 patches of very dark patina, almost black surrounded by whatever is now gone, dissolved, eroded, exfoliated, gone forever, so we'll never see those very, very old inscriptions. And the spirals, all so fascinating, but until now I never thought about if they're always going in one direction. Like here I see anti-clockwise, so does it matter which way it turns? So many designs to wonder about with no wrong answers. 🙀

Thanks, I like wondering about these graphs, the areas, etc. It is not impossible that many similar ones were made by the same person or people. On the vertical lines, does the sun or moon touch at certain time intervals? A group did a reading of some, and they predicted times. Others can be associated with star alignments. While others seem to be a navigation record left by some for others who may follow. 🤔 still, others seem to be added or done by shamas under the influence of drugs or some such. It would be good to have a map as one could then create a trail possibly.
