Nice work once again Bobby. Here's the names for some of the fish you had trouble identifying. Netting: - The mystery knife fish you caught is an Elephant-Nose Knife Fish. - The suspected flounder is a Freshwater Flounder - The eel-like fish that stuck to the sewer wall is a type of Loach, there are multiple different kinds. Traps: - Questionable puffer/flounder is a Freshwater Puffer Fish.

The first one looks something like an elephant nose/eel-don’t know. The other are freshwater flounders(they love good cover in the fish tank/pond. Sending the go-pro down to investigate was a great idea! You need to do that in other sewers(without alligators!). You can sew those nets with fishing line, I’ve done that and it works good! Another fantastic video Bobby and Helen! AMAZING CATCHES! You need to go back and do this sewer again! Kudos

He is not kind at all, you can’t find axolotls in a sewer especially leucistic axolotl in are sewer they aren’t even in the wild! Only breed within captivity! This man has put captive bred axolotl and whatever else in disgusting polluted water! I’ve scrolled through so many comments seeing not one educated person in this comment section all commenting how cute axolotls are etc and not how they got in the sewer which should be the main concern of the video it’s quite literally impossible for axolotl to found in the wild as the axolotl is native to the freshwater of Lake Xochimilco and Lake Chalco in the Valley of Mexico and can only be found there and becoming critically endangered! It honestly disgusts me what some people do for views and money

The crabs 🦀 should have an area to come out the water. If possible drop the water level a little and have some land, rocks, or wood just out of the water so they can climb out. Also they like to escape so a lid on the tank is a must! If they can climb and get out they will! Awesome catches and like the GoPro idea!

Axolotls are technically a species of mole salamanders closely related to Tiger salamanders. They are in the same genus, but axolotls live in a larval state their entire lives. It's why they are able to regrow their limbs.
@quincyzhou2296 Жыл бұрын
Its either: 1. Some dingus yeeted their pet axolotl into some water, then it found its way into a sewer 2. It is not an axolotl, but something similar
@avanelletheclockfriend2515 Жыл бұрын
Almost definitely the latter; axolotls are critically endangered, and their wild population is limited to an underwater cave system in Mexico. They’re very sensitive and require cold, clean water to survive for very long; unless it had been thrown out very recently, a pet one wouldn’t have survived in the conditions of the sewer. It’s way more likely to be a larval salamander, which would make sense to find in the area and are far more common and hardy by comparison.

He isn’t rescuing them. This is not a sewer, it’s a storm drain. These storm drains are made to collect rain water and stop floods. They lead to ponds and lakes that they can easily get back to, the fish hide in these drains to breed or when they are babies to avoid being eaten by bigger fish. They were totally safe where they were. They knew exactly what they were doing and were not in any kind of danger or problem

Awesome catches. The spotted catfish looks like a petricola synodontis. The alien fish is a giraffe nose knifefish. The pike is a Xingu I Orange Pike Cichlid. I believe the fish you caught with the 2nd flounder is some species of redhorse. They are a native non game fish often considered a trash fish but excellent as part of a cleanup crew. The freshwater flounder will need sand as it does bury itself. That will help lower stress as they like to hide

@@kevincarlson668 Axolotls aren't nearly endangered, they are already critically endangered. Less than one thousand individuals are estimated to remain in the wild, and they live exclusively in Lake Xochimilco in Mexico. From what I hear, axolotls are hurting mostly from pollution of habitats, habitat loss and destruction, and climate change. I am unsure about people eating axolotls but it is not outside of the realm of possibility. Pollution and habitat loss is more likely the answer as they are very sensitive and delicate creatures.

The fish that was sticking to the wall is called a plecco. I was obsessed with them for a year or two i had like 20 at a time. They're filter feeders, completely harmless and typically very calm when handled. They can breathe air but only for a minute or so, plus it's really difficult to kill them by accident, making them great fish to own for newbies or people with kids and/or pets.

Axolotl’s are actually Mexican salamander babies, but because they have no predators where they are found, the never have to leave the water. That’s why they’re so cute, they’re babies!

Actually you are wrong, an axolotl is the only salamander that maintains it looks with out going into metamorphosis in their adult years. The only way they will metamorphosed is if the axolotl stays for to long outside the water. He didn’t catch an axolotl, he got a baby tiger salamander that will go into metamorphosis when it matured.

@@agaspiderman921 thank you. no one else in the comments of BFP vids ever mentions that the things Bobby catches that he calls "axolotls" are different salamanders, not all baby/larval salamanders are axolotls. i think it's sort of a meme that he calls them axolotls and no one corrects him.

How do you afford to feed all of them? It's just a question, not being rude. I love your videos. I love the excitement you bring. I would also love to have you interview your Mom. As a mom of a twenty-2 year old, I assume your Mom is so proud of you and she must have strong opinions of your hobby. 😊 I'd love it because I love animals, amphibians, and fish, I hate spiders. Snake are ok. I thank you for all the fun content and STOP standing on those stone walls! 😂 I almost have a heart attack watching you. I'm afraid you will fall in and that would be awful. Stay safe. Helen is awesome too.

Wow, that was an incredible selection of fish, plus a a couple of young salamanders and some crustaceans! Flounders go up rivers and can live in freshwater. I used to live in Cardiff in Wales and they used to come right up the river as far as a weir they couldn't get up. Yes, please, for a part 2.

Another awesome video, Bobby and Helen! I think you set the record with the crazy, different fish you found. I loved when you checked the sewers out first with the go-pro. It was so cool! You should definitely do more videos like this in different fishing areas. Who knows what crazy fish you're going to find!

Easy to do when they put those fish in there before filming.
