I would absolutely want to see make those doll clothes! Also have you ever tried displaying the Fairytale Birds? You could display them perched on some kind of rod (like from the inside of a wardrobe for example). I think that would look extremely cute.

I'd not heard about the melting and I've had Tutti and her pals for years, and not experienced it. I always thought that the melting was when the rubbery material comes in contact with hard plastic, so dolls with a hard plastic torso and rubbery legs are particularly prone to it - my Brad (Ken's Mod friend) has it, so he can't sit down any more unless I run the risk of breaking his legs off which I haven't done (and which the Mod dolls are also prone to - particularly the talking dolls - something about the leg joints mean that they just fall apart over the years, so many of them are rebodied onto the TNT dolls...) What you do need to consider is the greening caused by the metal skeleton inside the Tutti and her chums body - where the metal pokes through the rubber into the vinyl head can sometimes cause greening, but it doesn't seem to happen with the the rubbery body. Degreening the Mod vinyl is really hard - I tried with a TNT Barbie head and it just left a large brown stain - so when I got a dirt cheap Tutti with a greened head and minty body, I basically rebodied a Kiddle head onto it, and it just looks cute af.

That Little Bo Peep Barbie seen at around the 30-minute mark is something I've always wanted. I don't know what it is about her, but she is so charming to me. She goes for relatively cheap online so hopefully I'll get her someday. Sorry for commenting on one specific part of the video, I just saw her and had to say something LMAO.

You can tell by the body and those wire bendy legs..dawn has snap knee legs like barbie. Rock flowers competed with Dawn. They are pretty cool too.

Lol I've been going to american classics constantly for years. The best booth is probably the big one in the corner of the warehouse area with the mix of vintage girl's toys and pokemon in the case (21:51) The area with crystals right next to it is pretty sweet too

The toy booths really roll out their new stock in summer bc that’s when we get more tourist traffic. Trust me I found some gems, especially Barbara, here last year before the holidays. So happy to see you enjoying some of my favorite booths!

That is my face when I see ponies while thrifting too, lol! Amazing shops, I can't believe that one place had so many MIB G3s! btw there are nylon hair versions of G3 Petal Blossom and Rainbow Flash that don't have the hair problem! afaik the versions that came with a free baby had poly hair and the single packed version had nylon. I learned this back in the day when I used to customize a lot. The poly hair wouldn't take dye but the nylon hair would. Unfortunately it's hard to visually tell the two versions apart. If you have them in person you can pour water on the hair and see if it's absorbant, which would indicate nylon.

i know most places don't pay or train emoloyees enough for them to care but.... it's always so frustrating to walk into a shop and know more about what's on sale than the people who work there 😭 obvs i'm not saying thrift shop/antique mall employees should know everything about what they're selling but for a store that curates what they sell you'd expect a higher level of knowledge about the merchandise. anyway all this to say i hope the plague of ebay prices ends soon 😅

The antique mall is filled with booths owned by different independent sellers that don't work there. The workers just help get things out of cases and ring you up

I luv those 90s Strawberry Shortcake dolls. They are expensive on ebay. Of course I'm in Canada. I haven't found one yet in a thrift store. I did find a Rose petal place rose doll. She was in rough shape. But I did my best to fix her up. Luv all the footage.

You skipped over the My Friend Mandy doll! It was in the booth with the precious moment doll in the pink fluffy dress!! The my friend dolls were from the late 70’s to early 80’s. It was the doll to have before American girl dolls came out.

Haha I'm not sure if I have? He likes the art style, especially the eyes. He thinks they're really cute. They also have a really moving story behind them. Our friend introduced us to them, we'd heard of them but didn't know much and the friend is a big fan since they live right by the Precious Moments Chapel/headquarters!

The only precious moments item that I have is a ceramic wall crucifix with a cute little scene/biblical saying on it that hung on my wall as a kid. I had a brief religious phase in middle school, and my Mom wanted to be supportive and got it for me for my birthday 😂
