My best friend bought a 125 Cromwell last Year as a starter bike, it's pretty awesome. It's not as premium or well build as Honda's for a similar price, but the style is definitely great. Think bart underestimates how popular Brixi or any other 125s are over here. Brixton is super well known, with great dealer support. But I also live close-ish to austria, so this obviously skews my view

You say "Italian" as if it's a bonus or something good 😅 Not gonna lie, cheap bikes produced in Italy aren't really that great and usually run into a lot of issues. I'd much rather take a KTM from India or Honda from Thailand.

Nice Investigation, though I knew all of these brands before haha (but not the ones you mentioned in Video one). Just a little Addition, the Brixton 500 costs almost exactly half the prize a new Bonneville or Street Twin costs here in Austria. Also Mash is much more versatile, they also have two 650s (and a sidecar). The interesting thing about those Eurobrands, manufacturing in China (there are actually a couple more like Bullitt and Mutt from your last video) is that most of their engines are older UJM-Engines. Like the 125s and 250s are basically all Suzuki GNs as well as the 400s. Therefore proven quality for being basically indestructible, they just make less hp/torque because of modern emissionlaws. The Mash 650 is also the Honda Dominator Engine, a legendary beast. The idea behind those brands is that riding a motorcycle in the EU requires a specific drivers license which not only takes at least 2 months (after Covid everybodys rushing for it so it gets even longer) and costs around 1500 dollars, but if you have a license for your car you can legally ride a 50cc and also 125s (in most countries) after just one day of training. Not trying to be Mr. Smartiepants here, just thought you might enjoy those Infos.

I have a Mash Falcone 125 in Belgium as an extra bike in my collection of ten bikes. I bought it for two reasons, one my godchild Carolynne want to drive a bike and second I wanted something different to drive on small roads which we have plenty in Vlaanderen (Flanders). It's not expensive and only uses 2.7L / 100km, needs a bit more maintenance because of the small air cooled engine but a service with oil and filter is only 75€ (euro) after 3000km. Top speed is 95km on the teller it's 102km, so it of by 7km. I did a trip of 200km and no problem, no sour bum or anything else, it's a good little bike.

I worked in Benelli once. You're showing the Leoncino 250. Not the 500. The 250 is more modern looking than the 500. The 500 closely resembles the Ducati Scrambler. There's also 2 variants of the 500. Standard & trail, the difference between the two is ground clearance. Standard comes with 17 inch wheel in the front while the trail sports a 19 inch. Standard uses rims, trail uses spokes. Other than that, it's all the same. Another story, back in 2015, Herald came to my country, they sent 2 prototype to test the market and see how people will respond to it. They brought in the classic and cafe 250s. Good bikes and we tested it for 2000kms, while riding the cafe 250 on a straight road, tucked in, max throttle, the plastics of the bar end side mirror couldn't handle it. IT BROKE OFF! BOTH MIRRORS! and we're maxing out the engine at 120kph at that time. Imagine the brittle plastic put on a faster bike. 😂 I will never forget my friend's face when it happened. We went back to look for the mirrors but it's gone. Glass is shattered to million pieces and the plastic looked like a bomb was strapped to it.

the 50cc Mash bike is a Moped here in the Netherlands, 45km/h would mean they're on a class on their own and have a yellow license plate and require the rider to have a AM drivers license and require the rider to have a helmet. Generally known as *Shifter/Manual mopeds* they share the same class as 50cc scooter,s and regular mopeds. (unlike 25km/h scooters and mopeds which also require an AM drivers license but have blue license plates and no helmet requirement) People are allowed to get their AM license starting from the ago of 16, So they can use something like an AM license to get experience in traffic and traffic signs before they can get their bigger licenses for things like motorcycle or for cars and trucks and what not, When they're 18 and up.

There's a definite niche for these smaller and mid-sized motorcycles. At seventy-two, I've downsized to a 400SM because of the lighter weight. The dealers are however getting top dollar 💰 for this model, including getting a rather humongous setup fee, putting me out the door at around $9,000. Just for me, the very light flywheel effect makes it less than an ideal street bike but is part of the reason that young guys like it as a sprinter...

The reason why you don`t see the classic bikes (Commando range) on the Norton site anymore is because they are no longer a current model, they are only making a limited run to fulfil outstanding orders. The Commando range was reported to be up for "re-engineering", possibly an updated engine for euro5-6 being liquid cooled and ohc etc, where the old engine would not meet requirements. So, i`m hoping as i suggested to them on their facebook page that they should follow Triumphs lead and develope an ohc liquid cooled unit that looks like the old air cooled engine, as Triumph have done with the Bonneville, again neccesary to meet upcoming euro5-6 requirements. The old classic Nortons and Triumphs did look and feel / sound good, but those old engines were just too outdated, so the more modern liquid cooled is the only way to go. God knows how Royal Enfield get away with their aircooled 650twin engine in the interceptor range?.
@frankmarkovcijr54592 жыл бұрын
The Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor with fuel injection run his hot as Hades with a lean mixture just like all of the other fuel-injected air-cooled motorcycles that are still left they run excruciating Lee Hot because of the Euro 5 mandated lean Nash in the fuel mixture. A fuel injected Ural sidecar outfits as well as Harley's new big twin motor as well as the preceding twin cam motor are motors made to abide by ridiculous pollution regulations because morons drive cars. A little chinese-made 125 may be suitable for a 89 lb Oriental but not for regular people. And to up they are positively in adequate. And no rude comments!

But ya won't find a name that sounds great in _all_ languages, so you might as well please your home/target market. Having made that point: I'm going to guess they invented the name, assuming English speakers would pronounce it as a mashup of Blue and Rock.
