Hey quin, at 29:00 when you hit the moor garrison ruins, there actually is "moor" to do. If you ascend in that little room there you get taken to a whole new part of the cave full of human made ruins it's pretty sick when you find it. Usually you can identify an ascend spot by a circle of leaves on the ground in a small enclosed space.

The chicken well was part of a side story (not a mission) where the chicken's owner says she hear sounds of a lonely chicken. So if you toss another chicken into the well, owner would say that the chicken sounds happy now.

So, the reason Like Likes always drop a chest containing a shield is because they're shield-eaters. In older Zelda games if they caught you, you'd lose your shield and would have to buy another one. Their name comes from a weird ancient Hyrulean proverb: "Shield-eaters and world leaders have many likes alike"

And certain tunics (notably your red tunic in oot) and hylian shield. Defeating them quick enough will get your shield and tunic back. There's an old man at hyrule castle town in one of the shops that tells you there's monsters rumored to eat shields in hyrule somewhere and asks if you've seen any. I love how multiple npcs as a child allude to future enemies you face as an adult. They are all rumors or scary stories to keep you from leaving the forest, but end up being true.

I think I mentioned this in a previous video, but the guy who wrote journals in the wells existed in Breath of Wild too, although he never directly appears there either. He's the author of two cooking books titled simply "Chef Aurie Taamu, Vol. 1 & 2" you can find in the classroom in Gerudo Town in the previous game. If you talk to one of the students called Dina, she will tell Link the books were written by an amazing chef and that he was the voe their teacher Ashai was in love with. Another Gerudo named Cara who works at the jewelry shop will also mention Aurie Taamu as the voe both her boss Isha and Ashai were interested in, and that their love triangle apparently ended badly given that the two Gerudo ladies have remained single so far.

Kakariko well lore: that journal was written by Koko and Cottla's deceased mother. You can find them and their dad praying by the frog statutes in the morning for her. You can talk to Cottla in the well who confirms it was her mother's base. In BotW, her husband is the one who left the Yiga clan and was being blackmailed by them to steal the orb for the village shrine quest. S tier well for me due to the backstory. Also ascending out of the well near the diary puts you on one of the hills next to a silent princess.

Moor Garrison Ruins Well - I believe you need to Ascend at the end where the foundations are for the ruins above. It'll lead you into an enclosed room with a chest, if I recall correctly.

The notebooks from the chef tie into a story in Kakariko and it is very sad. Remember the guy whose wife was killed by the Yiga in BotW? He was the guy who was a former Yiga spy that you have to follow to the shrine outside the village. Those notebooks were written by her while she was in hiding and she left them behind for her kids to find and learn her recipes.
