People moan about explorers but we will never see these places as they torn down or damaged, most explorers are respectful like Dave and mark. They are respectful.

Thank you for this one! (Well, for all your explores). So very glad you and Mark are together again. You have a special way of taking us through these homes Dave. Your explores just weren’t the same when you were going with all those other people. Too loud and just not the same. You’re very sensitive and insightful Dave and Marky is your perfect partner. Plus, I’ve had some really good laughs with you two.

So much history on every house you guys visit. Just imagine when the families were leaving in there, parents seeing their kids growing up and running around talking and laughing. Families having dinner together talking about their daily lives activities they did during the day. Is so sad seeing these houses abandoned and falling apart 😔

What a wonderful place. It was built in the 1930's to look like the tudor style. Then add ons have been done since. It was beautiful in its heyday. What a shame they just let it sit there self destructing.

Hi Dave and Mark, good to see you both filming together. The thatch house is from say 1790 . It gave me the creeps, especially the lock on the outside of that door. Everything seemed so dark, although the rooms in parts were large, it felt like you were being drawn into it. The granny annex faired better, but still felt as though you were being watched. I loved the view of the lake and the different trees around, In the Seasons it would have been beautiful, especially hearing the birds singing and the wildlife around during the day and night. I thought The Pet Cemetery was really so nice and would have been lovely when the owners or servants were there to take care of it. The second house, including the Tower i did not like at all it had a eery feel to it even though you could not get upstairs. Your filming ends telling us the owner turns ups with his wife and a claw hammer. What an ending.

The thatched house was built in the 1930s in a 16th century style. It's not really old which is why it is not listed and can be knocked down.
@AgainstAnimalAbuse25 күн бұрын
@@Londonfogey Hi, i was first going to put 1920 as i too didnt think it was that old, but i thought people might think this one is abit thick which is why i put to 1790. So this is why they can knock all the places down. Thank you for the update. Take care.

Hey Dave & Mark! Great to see the old team exploring! What an awesome explore too! What gorgeous Tudor style mansion! Guessing it was built in the 1800's and updated in the late 70's or early 80's? Love you to come back to this place for a ghost explore! its great for you to diversify by having channels geared towards other topics like ghost hunting. It's just a natural fit because some the places you explore are plain creepy! It looks like they have marked all the lumber they plan to use in their next build or reno. Love the video guys!
@Butterfly5468427 күн бұрын
I agree with you on the age I really don`t think it is as old as it looks. I think everything marked for saving will go to salvage yards to be resold.

It was built in the 1930s and appears to have been refurbished in the 1960s. If you follow the clues in the video about who owned it (hint: a man who invented a very famous British drink connected loosely to champagne) you can find some news articles online about the place.

My uncle's Mansion had a summer kitchen and a winter kitchen. The winter kitchen was actually in the house and the Summer kitchen was attached to the back... So as not to heat up the house with the fires (in the wood burning stoves) in the summertime.

#Dave and #Mark, I think this house is a 60's style. Especially those cabinets and the intercom! I love thatched roofs. It seems like over there where y'all are, thatched roofs hold up better than regular roofs. I may be wrong, but it seems like less leaks with the thatched? It must be a lost art to building them.. great explore and I love that Mark is mic'd up. Great sounds
@Londonfogey26 күн бұрын
There are still thatchers who make thatched roofs in England, as there are still a lot of those houses around and they need new roofs every 25 years or so.
@sheilad8320 күн бұрын
@@Londonfogey, thank you for that info. I didn't know that thatched roofs need maintained every 20 to 30 yrs. I think that is a wonderful skill to know. Seems like they hold up real good. The explorers I've seen go in thatched roof homes over there, that they hold up very well. I'm in Alabama, the housing codes are so strict here, rarely see leaky roofs here even on 100+ yrs old homes! Great quality home builders here! Cheers mate! ❤️🇺🇲💙

Hi Dave & Markie,😉😉Wow, the 1st Abandoned Mansion with the 12 Acres, Lake & Pool Was Gorgeous!! Well, with All the Damage of Floors, Walls & Other Stuff, it Would Only Sell for Maybe 5 Million!! Sad to See that they Will Tear It Down, It Should be Saved!! Google said Mansions are from 17th to 18th Century, but Has Been Modernized to 1950`s or Later!! You 2 Need to Go Back After They Tear All of Them Down? They Should Save All the Beautiful Windows!! I Wonder Why 3 Mansions in a Row, Went Abandoned? The Last Mansion was Way More Modern & a Lot Smaller!! Yes I Love the 1st One the Best!! The Tower was Unique!! Would Love to have That Greenhouse!! Some of the rooms giving the 50/60's vibe, sea mist green and doll house pink. Sculpted carpets, 70's. Maybe the bolt on the family room door is because it's ground level with lots of windows, very vulnerable to break ins. That place was probably a complete monster to heat 😳 Hello, from Michigan.
