Isopropyl alcohol will take sharpee right off things, not sure if it's worth your time, but it's a quick fix

I discovered that, too! Sometimes it takes a little elbow grease on some things, but does work well.

@timt1543 I use it for general cleaning of some items (CD cases for example) because it doesn't leave residue. Just avoid using it on soft plastics and rubber or any printed material. It will dry out rubber and pull of any ink

Most of the British coins you found are called Crowns. You've got Churchill crowns, the Queen's silver jubilee and a Charles and Diana wedding crown. They're all still legal tender in the UK worth 25p (about a quarter). Whilst there were some silver proofs produced, the ones you found look to be the cupronickel ones which were made in their millions. In the UK they're only really worth their face value because there's so many of them. The silver £1 coin is genuine silver though. The circulating examples are nickel brass but you have a non-circulating silver proof.

Hi Jack, hope you and your family and friends are safe from the fires. In watching this locker clean out I'm know the story of this lady. I noticed when you found the silver you found a safety deposit key. You should return it with the photos and such. That might be a box nobody knows about. I worked in banking for some time. If a box goes unpaid for some time, the bank will try very hard to get in contact with the person and or the second person on the box. If there is a second person. If that was just sitting in an open bag with silver, I mean she didn't even have it in a box. Well what I'm saying is give it a chance for someone to find the key. Otherwise the bank has to have locksmith come in and break into the box and remove the items. I know you aren't supposed to leave cash in a SD box but people do what they are going to do. Just hoping that if it was under the families radar, you would help them retrieve whatever she might have put in the SD box. Thank you Jack and Jenna for all you guys do to make these videos but most of all I love your family outings and little vacations. Especially the summer trip with your Dad. Jack, I love ya & watch all your videos, but I cringe when you find silver coins! In my career in Financial Services have had the opportunity to deal with silver bullion coins. The slightest scratch decreases their value. Silver coins need to be handled with great care.
