I Found My Helmet From 20 Years Ago! Exploring Chad Reed's Racing History In Australia

While out in familiar territory, Chad took a day to go sightseeing. He went to the beach to relax with the ocean breeze, then headed over to Craig Dack's Facility to relive some memories- being reunited with his helmet from 20 years ago!! The boys took a trip to the zoo afterward, to spot some foreign and "not-so" foreign animals.

I remember watching you ripping at Anaheim when you first started racing in the US my son was racing PW 50 modifieds back then before any Cobra’s or KTM’S had the minis. He and Daniel Blair won all the Ponca, Vegas and lake Wittney Texas on the modified PW’S that Daniel’s Dad and I built (EDGE SPORTS) was our company then and seeing you with your old helmet brought back memories of days. Now it’s my grandsons that are racing one on a PW one a Cobra the 9 yr old a KTM 65 watching your journey with your kids is so inspiring to have that FUN again! GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY ❤

I remember that helmet!!!!! I used to cut brand names out of moto magazines then stick them on my helmet with clear contact to try make it look like yours 🤣🤣 (was about 10 or 11)

It's never a bad day taking in the ocean air and seeing that Diamondback sticker at Dack's took me back to my bmx days. The zoo usually offers something that can't be unseen 🤣. I wonder if Logan got her number lol.

I also noticed that. He painted some of the coolest helmets in New England. I think he did Barton’s open face ones in the early 90s.

Steve did, in fact, come straight out of the ground at the alligator exhibit in the Australia Zoo. He was donning a brand new set of infant sized khaki’s and hiking boots, and when he hatched from the earths crust, you could faintly hear the void whisper “…crooiiiikkkeeeyyy..” as it closed back up.

I've been a painter for 32 years, owned a body shop for 18 years an been doin artwork (gold leaf, silver leaf , metal flake & pearls, pinstriping etc... for 20 years. I got out of doin one off art work due to cost of materials an time I'd have in the Job. People just couldn't wrap there minds around the prices of materials an labor but I always enjoyed doin em though... I'm older now an I'm pretty established , I'd love to create somethin for Chad an tha kids so they could have a one off, personalized helmet they've took part into creating.

Man I wish a company like Troy Lee ( an artist) would be allowed to start creating helmets for riders again. The big companies like fox , shoei , bell etc.. make riders run there factory helmets , won't allow riders to wear specialized one off helmets unless it's something related to the sponsor and the sponsor creates it for the rider. Basically , just like in every aspect today ? It's about money
