To me this loft is perfect, however, theres one small issue with it that will stop some from taking it. I don’t think its deal-breaking flaw at all but to others its an immediate turn off. Ultimately thats ok because this place is actually quite affordable considering its got 2 bedrooms and outdoor space. This is definitely one of New York City’s Most Unique Apartments with the coolest layout in town.

Beautiful apartment but I can’t figure out why you didn’t roll out the stairs and show their full potential. Looking at them I could see rollers at the bottom and they were secured to the wall for storage when not needed. That makes that place even more cool. Love the stores in the neighbourhood for shopping choices nearby.

I think Cash knew about the stairs rolling out. His smile each time he used them seemed to me like "I'm a smart ass. I know these pull out, but I just want to prove to myself that I can climb them, and get viewers reactions". Priceless!

How many people have told you that it looks like you are supposed to pull out the ladders before you climb them? There's a rope and there are wheels at the bottom. It would give them a slant and make them a bit easier to climb and descend. (I STILL think it's crazy to have a laundry on that small one! And how the heck did they get those appliances UP there??)

I like the place. I wish you pulled the ladders out to see how much it would eat into the space. Those ladders pull out to become more stair like because of the wheels, the extended railing and angle of the steps. If it's easy to go around them while deployed, they don't have to be kept tucked against the wall. Easier to go up and down as well especially with the laundry.

Had to pause the vid to see if anyone called him out on not pulling out the ladders because it did my head in watching it. I've used similar ladders and on average they pull out from the wall between 18-30 inches (1.5-2.5ft), so the ladder for the dryer area would probably be fine in this layout, but the one up to the mezzanine would likely change how you navigated the space unless you moved or re-oriented the dining area.

BEAUTIFUL unit-especially for $2850/month! Except... it seems a distance from Manhattan proper and to drag a bag of laundry up that stair ladder would be quite challenging, I would think. However, kudos to the Landlord for even thinking about laundry facilities in the first place. But, I LOVED how interesting the space is and the different height levels of the loft spaces. Then you have the outdoor patio. Beautiful unit. Well done design and use of space.

That is one GREAT apartment!! The laundry might be a bit inconvenient, but the rest of the apt. is such a winner, I could learn to live with that laundry being up the stairs, everything else about that apt. is a win-win. Walking through the neighborhood, I notice how neat and clean everything is, even in the business district. The streets are void of any garbage on the ground, all the windows are sparkling clean in the shops. That tells you a lot about the neighborhood, that people have pride in their area, and it shows. Great outside space, nice view, nobody directly across from the terrace so there's that privacy. I can't imagine why that wasn't rented day one. It can't be just the inconvenience of the laundry because I'd be happy just to have a laundry in my apt, period. It's a nice layout, functional, minimalist and just plain nice !!!!!

OMG this is WILD!!!!! I grew up a block away from that train station down the block from the CVS (used to be a diner) and our family had a deli next to the Pizza Den (sold it right before 9/11) that's in the beginning of the video. I can tell from the video it's still a deli. I'm seriously smiling ear to ear with this :) Though when I grew up, the stores/restaurants were completely different, so it's interesting to see the change. But Tasty Bagels is still thriving. And oh yeah, sweet apartment tour!

I live in NJ, but im right next to the Holland Tunnel (takes you right to Manhattan). I am right next to NYC. I pay $2,300.00 for a modest 1 family home that is attached. (3BR, 1 BA). I have a small yard with a little pool, and a small attic. Street parking that is terrible (no driveway). There are no utilities included. The average water bill every three months is between $580-800, electricity/gas per month is roughly $320.00, internet is around $118.00. In total my average expenses just for living in my home (and I calculated the lower end), is $3,318.00. Now, our precious mayor entered us into an insane water deal that privatized our water supply, and took it away from the city to manage. The deal lasts 30 years (starting in 2014), and our newest mayor has had it investigated in hopes of finding a legal loophole to get out of it. In the deal, every year the company (Suez) can add 10%. It is ridiculous, but iron clad. They're now building condos everywhere with the average staring rent on a studio is 3K, and anything with a bedroom starts at $4K and up. Mind you, we are NOT in NYC, but because of the access to NYC, they feel they can charge such astronomical amounts. We do, however, get a lot of New Yorkers moving here, becsuse of the pricing being lower compared to NYC itself, and it's causing issues because my town is only 3 miles long, but we are a population of nearly 100K. Every house is on top of one another, and it overall sucks. The town I am talking about is Bayonne.

This unique apartment is great for one person with a balcony. I would make the space above the bedroom an office. I would install a pulley system to lift the laundry up to the washer & dryer.

I like this neighborhood! Cool looking place, the ladder/stairs makes sense now that someone pointed it out in the comments many times lol

I live in Australia. Every time we go to a country in Asia one of our fav things is going to local supermarkets and try different things. Our kids love it. We have a lot of local Asian supermarkets here as well.

Great apartment Cash! I would take the downstairs bedrm and let someone like guests upper one. Neat place. Ditto for me too. I can still afford your channel....great one Brian.

Without reading all the comments, I wonder how many people said you didn't use the ladder/stairs correctly. :-)

The laundry arrangement is a hoot! They should install a block and tackle to lift bag of dirty laundry up to the washer.🤪
