Well at least she is not communicating to them now. You were not in a relationship back then, and in the grand scheme of things, you have better life now. You should better your communication with your wife (vice versa).

I'm confused, it's doesn't matter if she is communicating with them as that was never the concern. If she was, then the whole question is irrelevant because that is a very different situation, of cheating rather than lying. He does have a better life, but using "in the grand scheme of things" to say that is incorrect as the whole picture is that he was lied to and manipulated in this situation and a hugely important matter on his wifes personality was lied about. Better communication is also somewhat incorrect as the whole fault lies with her lying, it's not something you can work on as it's a conscious action of the other party. So it's correct that it should not be done to improve communication but it's incorrect because it's not something he has much power in changing. Overall it depends on how much he values the life he has not and what price he is willing to pay. It's a difficult position he is in, it's understandable if he stays with his wife and puts this past him, but it's also understandable if he loses his respect for her as his wife because her lie was a large part of her becoming his wife now. Downgrading her back to girlfriend is also an option till the relationship is repaired, theres many possible solutions depending on how he want to deal with this situation. But everything you siad makes no sense to me.

Yes, she lied. And yes, it should be a deal breaker. If she is willing to lie about this, she will lie about other things. If you had known, you may not have married her. She likely knew that, which is why she lied.

If you don't bring it up, it'll fester. What she did was wrong. Now, that should be in the context of the happy marriage that you have now, so don't let it blow that up, but you deserve to have that talk with her because she did lie and it was wrong.

She lied to you by omission about how chaste she was. That's on the upper echelon of disrespectful and disgusting things a woman can do to a man. You wouldn't be wrong to bring it up or divorce her over it. She's clearly gaslighting you if you're worried about being "controlling" over such a huge lie.

It's not a lie of omission, it's just a straight up lie. A lie of omission is something you simply don't mention and since it was never directly asked about it's not a "direct" lie.
