Hi Rosanna, So lovely to find a kindred spirit. I love Crafting, repurposing clothes or other textile items that have had a long life. I Love & collect Hoyas. : ) My Heritage is Dutch & I immediately spied the Dutch Delft Bleu Butter Dish on the Drawer Cabinet. Is it stamped from Delft? If so it's authentic & can potentially be quite old. ☺ I have lots of Dutch pieces from Delft. What you're collecting is all quite lovely. Regards Lena ❤🐱🐱

Rub mint oil as in cooking on the old suitcase or anything you think the cat will mark. It's not harmful, they just hate the smell. I have a cat that will mark any throw rug🙄😡

I often wonder what will become of my things. I have 18th century furniture that nobody wants to buy and I e downsized. Everyone wants modern. I have piles of old quilts and linens, old silver, dishes. What state do you live in? Im in western NC in the smokies.

Aww, I would love to see your 18th century furniture 😍 there is less of the colonial stuff out here - I'm in Nebraska. There are people around who like old things but yes you're right, a lot of people prefer new... I'm sure there are folks out there who would be thrilled with your treasures too ❤️❤️❤️

If you have to downsize them maybe you should take them to an antique mall or if they are very nice to an antique store and get help selling them that way. There are people who love old things around! I think there are more of them in the midwest and the deep south, though.

We have like 5 antique malls here and there’s a waiting list for a booth! Was shocked!I’ll figure it out- maybe flea market one day. Or my kids will donate and deal with what’s left when I’m gone. I don’t envy them. Id prefer to get rid of now. Strange market now!
