The authors have powers based on their books and include Lovecraft, Poe, Fitzgerald, Twain, and of course Melville with his Moby Dick ship. You should check it out, it’s a good show and very popular in Japan for a reason. And maybe you can learn about some classic Japanese authors that are featured such as Dazai, Akutagawa, and Oda. They’re aware of and very interested in lots of Western classic literature. How do you think Miyazaki’s team made these games? They’re totally fanboys of like LOTR and other western medieval fiction and nonfiction

@@ferretyluv they’re somewhat aware of classic western literature, I mean look at all the Souls games. Obviously Miyazaki’s team are like LOTR and western medieval fiction/nonfiction. But there’s a really popular anime that references lots of classic western authors called Bungo Stray Dogs. It’s about the authors who have powers based on their books. Some western ones are Lovecraft (The Great Old Ones), Fitzgerald (Great Gatsby), Twain (Huckleberry Finn), Hawthorne (Scarlet Letter), and of course Melville with a Moby Dick ship. I never finished Elden Ring after 70h of gameplay, neither ever fanboyed over LMSH, but man, the concept of a half naked man with a pot on his head helping thousands of players to defeat the most difficult bosses is the PINNACLE of gaming spirit - a mixture of ridiculousness, overconfidence and top notch gaming spirit. I respect and admire that. I respect and admire that enough to have a massive metal poster with LMSH killing Malenia AND a 3D printed figurine of LMSH safely stored in a display box. Because LMSH is not just some gaming celebrity or a meme, he IS the concept, the definition of gaming and how gamers should be. Thank you for giving this to the world, mate, and good luck with whatever challenge you take next.

@@thex6992 I grabbed it from Displate (a company that sells all sorts of metal posters, usually with official licenses). However, don't think LMSH is available any longer, plus overall over the years Displate got quite expensive due to the brand growth and inflation, so would only recommend grabbing any only if you really really like something. But as it stands, they no longer sell anything LMSH related. As for the figure, I just asked one of my friends to 3D print it - he had to jump through hoops to get it done though, design a 3D model, trim, print in parts, glue, paint etc., don't think he'd do it again as it was pain in the arse to assemble it all, much more difficult than we initially anticipated. It was also quite expensive, but I have zero regrets as he is a friend and a doctor at that and spent shitton of time doing it, so I covered his efforts as generously as I could.

Damn, LMSH is a really humble guy. More than half a million subs, just about EVERYONE in that group photo probably knows who he is and would be stoked to meet him. Thwy probably would have welcomed him in the photo as well. But I get it, when you're not in cosplay, when you're internet famous, when you're maybe a naturally humble person and not seeking attention of any kind, just vibing, I get it. Respect.

I've been to dragoncon fairly regularly. It's a BLAST! As a heads-up for if you want to go to dragoncon again, it officially goes Thursday to Monday, but the pre-parties start on wednesday. So, 5 official days and one unofficial day. Also, hotels and airbnbs fill up FAST for the week of the convention, so once the dates open up, it's best to jump on getting a room if you're set on going. Also, the earlier you buy your tickets, the cheaper they are. I think they start off at nearly half the final (door) price when they first go on sale, and gradually go up as the date gets closer.
